Wii U is off to a a slow start in sales? Oh my....
Just another one of those paid articles where feeding it's readers with MS flavoured blsht is conscionable.
The facts are out there for all to see, Wii U sold more than both PS3 and 360 managed in their respective launch windows and still has some time to go before that initial period has ended.
In the first 5 weeks Wii U had sold a little over 1.8m units worldwide, in the same time frame back in 2007, MS sold roughly 940,000, 360's, while a year later Sony managed to sell only 540,000 PS3's in it's first four weeks.
Considering the vast difference in the world economy between 2005, 06 and 07 compared to what happen in 08 until today, then the statement "Wii U is off to a slow start" is just blatantly ridiculous to even think of taking seriously.
Nintendo has done very, very well... Just not as well as they had originally hoped for, but lets be honest, what sales and marketing dept. doesn't get carried away when forecasting?
Shame on this article and it's writer for being so cheap and nasty.
And lastly shame on a guy who openly smack talks his boss, and for what?
I agree 100%, but in defence of the current trend for gamepad "inventory/map/status screen" support, I think this is still a worthy inclusion to the experience and perfecting that only helps to make it another one of the Nintendo driven industry standards in future...
But for sure, fresh IP's are where the Wii U needs to go, Ports should be made downstream to current Gen, not the way it's being done now...
