@dexfm They know damn well it's not an MMO. They are just trying to slap that label on there, thinking that we are stupid enough to believe the always-on DRM is something more than an anti-piracy measure. They are punishing honest customers. That's all there is to it.
This is just a load of shit. Look, lady, nobody is complaining about the game having online features. Those features, however, should be optional. This is a single-player game that should be able to be played offline. The reason that online features are not optional is because they are actually just a thinly veiled attempt to prevent piracy. Nothing more. Don't insult our intelligence with your ridiculous statements. It has already been proven that if you remove just two lines of code from the game, it functions just fine offline. Stop lying. You are making yourself look ever MORE stupid.
Instead of spending so much time lying to your customers for damage control purposes, how about if you fix the fucking game? How about if you let one of your devs spend the 15 minutes required to make the game work offline, then release that patch? If you do, I might actually buy the fucking thing.
@nasser_m200 @mtouchprod I preordered Diablo 3, then waited in line at Gamestop at midnight to pick it up. Then I got home and installed it and couldn't log in and play for 2 days because I couldn't log into Blizzard's server to play my $60 single player game. After that I was treated with constant lag issues and many, many times when I could not play my expensive single player game at all because the servers were down.
Do not pre-order games or support this kind of nonsense.
Support companies that care about their customers like CD Projekt Red, not companies that shit on their customers like EA and Blizzard. I own The Witcher and The Witcher 2 and will be purchasing The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 on principle alone.
What a crock of shit. This is the damage-control PR machine at its best. Don't insult my intelligence, you fuckface. Your greedy, paranoid company made a greedy, paranoid decision because you saw that Blizzard basically got away with it with Diablo 3 already. So decided that since they can get away with shitting on their customers as long as they are doing it with a much-anticipated title, you can too. Go **** your own face!
This game does not deserve a 5.0. That's too generous a score. It could have been a game of the year candidate if not for the Draconian always-on DRM, but EA chose to ass **** its customers instead of making a game of the year.
@tweaq187 Blizzard did it first with Diablo 3. It seems that the mindless masses will let these greedy games makers get away with shitting on them as long as they are shitting on them through a long-awaited sequel to a once-great franchise. I hope they don't do this with Baldur's Gate 3 or Thief 4. I simply will not buy the game.
It's ridiculously overpriced. That's why. You can get a comparable Android tablet with a detachable keyboard for half the price. You'd have to be a freaking moron to buy one of these. They are trying to compete at Apple's price point, but people who are stupid enough to pay twice as much as they need to for something are already devoted to Apple products.
@Cloud_imperium I don't normally pirate games, but I wouldn't give EA or any other publisher a cent to encourage them to do more of this crap. The only way I'd ever play this game is with a pirated copy. Do you see, game makers, that you are ENCOURAGING me to pirate your game, not discouraging? I'm not the only one who feels this way. You are punishing your honest customers and turning them into pirates. What you are really doing here is stealing from your honest customers to make up for pirates stealing from you. That's wrong.
Stop shitting on your customers by requiring them to connect to your shitty server to play the single-player game they just gave you $60 for. Stop ripping off you customers by charging them for an incomplete game so that you can sell bits and pieces of it to them later as DLC and microtransactions. $60 warrants a complete and functional game at the very least, yet through your greed you are unable to provide even that bare minimum.
MLB 12 has long load times, too. I just don't get that. There are no moving parts in the Vita. It's all flash memory. Load times should be practically instant.
