Halo, Fable and Project Gotham Raceing confirmed for Next Generation Consoles
On April 4th Xbox.com had a interview with Shane Kim (Head of Microsoft Game Studios). During the interview he was asked " What is going to give MGS the competitive advantage moving into the next generation of video games? What are the challenges of realizing this?" Kim responded with a "assumption" that the major franchises and popular titles like Fable, Halo, and Project Gotham raceing would be released for the Xenon. He gave no other information regarding the 3 big titles. But at least we know that we will be getting Halo, Fable and Project Gotham Raceing for Next Generation consoles.
Nintendo Revolution to have built in WiFi
In an interview with Japanese weekly Nikkei Business, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata reveals that the next generation Nintendo console will have built in WiFi. For those who are wondering what in the world a WiFi is, a WiFi is "Wireless Lan". Satoru Iwata said
"The ideal is for users to be able to connect to the Internet without having to think about it." Wi-Fi enables wireless, high-speed connections to the Internet using such popular standards as 802.11b and 802.11g.
This feature in use in the Nintendo DS. (Nintendo announced that Wi-Fi gaming on DS would be free). The same could be true for Revolution's wireless play. (Meaning it may also be free).Playstation 3 Hoaxers have been exposed!
The PS3 image that has recently circulated the net came not from Ken Kutaragi's desk but rather that of PSM2, the UK-based PS2 magazine. And what better day than today to finally unmask what has been the most believable fake yet?
Here is a picture of the mockup that the Hoaxer made:
There has yet to be any information has to if the hoaxer will be faced with criminal charges.
Downloadable Demo's coming to the Xbox 2?
The Xbox 360 will feature tons of downloadable game demos starting launch day, according to rumor-mongering Spong. Microsoft wants gamer's to be able to try out games instead of having to read reviews. This should be a genius way to that.
Editors Note (Roger327)
This week was full of surprises with The Revolution making the jump to online play, The hoaxers being caught, and Microsoft launching a giant online demo campaign for the Xbox 2. Next week is sure to be even crazier. Im glad to see the Revolution is finally going online, and whats even better is it might be free! If it is free I might end up buying a Revolution instead of a Xbox 2 or PS3. I dont have much else to say so stay tuned in for next weeks NGN Headlines.
