"Deadline reports that it cost Amazon an upfront fee of between $200–$250 million purely to secure the rights. This is outside the costs for the development, talent, and production of the series."
This is why its going to suck. Most of the budget will be going towards licensing. This is the same reason why so many games based on movies end up blowing.
@gvt2000: I'm not saying that vanilla will have more players than the new expansion. All I'm saying is there is a large group of people who truly want an official vanilla server. Sure, a LOT of people will try it out. Then the ones that really want it will stay for the long haul. All I am saying is you will be surprised at how many stay for the long haul. I doubt that one or two classic servers will be enough.
@renfairreject: Most of those 'whiners' played Nostalrius and mourned when Blizzard had that server shut down. Just because you hate something doesn't mean other people do too.
@renfairreject: They were only 'whining' about it because there was no way to play vanilla officially. You'll understand one day when something you love is not around anymore either.
@sladakrobot: Premium ammo MT, almost indestructable tank with crappy gun MT, combine the two and you have full pay 2 win. That is not fair microtransactions.
