Anyone even remotely interested that doesn't have one needs to get one now. The Wii U is very underrated, with a very solid library. It will be one of the more expensive systems to collect for in the years to come.
@pyro1245: And most games on Origin can be purchased on a platform without online DRM. That is my point. Not everyone is a PC gamer. Not everyone who buys their games digitally does so on PC. Hell, not every PC gamer who buys games digitally buys games with DRM. You starting to understand what I am saying now?
@pyro1245: They would have been if they had bought the games physically. That was the whole point of my original comment. If you buy digital, your games can be taken from you at any time for any reason. As evidenced by the people of Myanmar (Burma). If this story hadn't went online, became viral and gotten attention, EA would likely not be putting too much effort in getting these people access to their games through Origin so quickly.
@pyro1245: Well sadly most new PC games have some type of on-disk DRM that requires online. However, as of right now that is a very small % of physical games. Like a fraction of a percent. There are still thousands and thousands of games that don't do this, so in essence you are taking a microscopic minority and trying to say that is a thing. It isn't. That will likely change in the years to come, but as of right now there are at least 500 physical games that you can play with no online connection for every single game that requires some type of online connection.
@pyro1245: PC games generally don't get physical releases anymore. Even the very few that still use physical still need a very large patch and online check to get online due to the DRM requirements. That is why you buy physical games on console. Or if you have to buy digital, buy digital with no DRM. Like GOG.
