@dashaka: I'm not a big fan of Chapelle, and I wouldn't even put this comedy special in my top 10, but it was still a damn good show. And he said a LOT of things that needed to be said.

@analgrin: The point I was making is buying a game digitally is a glorified rental. The servers will go down at some point. Rights to certain properties expire. When it does, you lose what you paid for. You lose what you love playing. That was the point I was making.

@CaidKean: Try downloading Scott Pilgrim or PT these days. Or any games you purchased off of OnLive. Those are just off the top of my head. There have been quite a few stories over the years of digital games disappearing forever.

@spartanx169x: I had a few XBL games disappear from my library after my first 360 red ringed as well. MS help refused to do anything about it.

And this type of thing is where digital fails. Sure, it has a physical release but going forward that will be a thing of the past. The reality is with digital, you WILL lose games you love. Guaranteed.
