Can we all agree Serenity is not the same emotional experience without watching Firefly prior to it?

No we cannot. To this day I have never watched a single episode of Firefly. I never watched it when it was on TV and I've never watched any of it on DVD or download....nada. But a few years ago, I rented the Movie, SERENITY and the first 15 minutes blew me away. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit.
You're right, it's still a great movie either way. But it's not the same emotional experience.
[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"] This again? I know plenty about Storytelling, I've read countless books, watched countless movies, i think i know how to spot good storytelling from boring one.GeneralShowzer
Yeah...the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are fantastically written and On Stranger Tides looks like it could win an oscar for best screenplay...
*cough*
It's a very good fun blockbuster I am looking forward too, did i say that it will win Oscars? And how to train your dragon is beaten by every Pixar movie...
I fully expect Toy Story 3 to beat How to Train Your Dragon for best animated picture. *gasp*
Dont you want everyone to experience "the human condition?"

I can't imagine enjoying Mass Effect 2 as much as I did without having played ME1 so the X360/PC versions are still better to me. No comic can substitute a 20-30 hour experience. Not to mention I got to play it almost a year ago.
But if graphics are that important to you, then I guess the PS3 version is the best.
