Mm, not sure if I laugh much in SP games. I laugh in multiplayer games where random and unexpected things can happen. I guess my answer would be Team Fortress 2 and Halo 3.

[QUOTE="lespaul1919"]

matchmaking is good so a noob doesn't stumble onto a pro server and get owned so badly he takes the disc out and smashes it into a thousand pieces.

Well, in my first UC2 online match I got pwned in that sense. I used matchmaking and got in a sniper/pistole match. Being new and unfamiliar (and low level) I got like 3 kills for 20 deaths :| Instant no-scope FTL. Of course no one cares about my life, but lobby > matchmaking anyday IMO, just look at Gears 2.

Just because one game has a faulty matchmaking system doesn't mean matchmaking itself is bad. Are you going to try and argue that there has been no game with a faulty lobby system? Unless you can prove that, the last part of your argument falls apart.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Bear"]Is there any point in Steam for Mac when so few games even run on it? :?110million

Actually a good bit of games are playable on Macs.

Breakout, Super Breakout, Tetris. Some of the best games EVER.

Well that's not what I meant but okay. Funny.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Bear"] Do you really think the system would work like that? Have bungie been known for game-breaking design flaws? :?

After_Math

Well the description seemed to say it would work like that. Unless I read it wrong. Would you care to explain it to me? That's what I asked for originally. I'm sure if it is made that way it will be fixed after the beta, like the other man said.

It sounds more like if YOUR in a game, and I decide to que Join, as soon as your match is over, I will be put into your party ASAP.

That's not really what the description is saying. The writer complained that if you joined a match in Halo 3, then your friends would have to then wait for you to finish before you could join their party. But with queue joining, that wait is cut down and you will join "as soon as your friends are joinable." As soon as THEY are joinable, not you. Meaning, you would be taken out of the match you are currently in because they became joinable. I think Bungie are great devs and if they see a major problem they will fix it. I'm just saying the current description worries me a bit.

True, but I can see it causing some frustrating situations. For example, imagine picking up the enemy flag. Your capture plan relies on the warthog outside with your teammate in the driver seat. You get in the passenger seat. You drive 5 feet and then the driver leaves the game because he has just joined his friends. Sucks for you I guess.

They all sound like great improvements but I'm a little uneasy about the new system for joining friends. Let me see if I understand this right. You queue a friend to join so as soon as they are joinable, you will join their game? Meaning if you are currently playing a matchmaking game, you will be taken out of that game to join up with your friends? Meaning that team you just left becomes a player short?

Yea but maybe, one of your teammates friends can join?

Crackdown 1 was pretty fun for a bit but it had some major flaws that kept it from being great. If it appears the developers have improved on the original's faults I might consider buying it used at a later date.
