Actually based on scores (plural), Halo Wars did very well at 82% at Gamerankings. Based off one score it didn't though.

For me

FPS: Halo 3: ODST (great in every way, even graphics--love the art style). Runner ups: Modern Warfare 2 (Campaign is great but I hate the multiplayer and I refuse to buy it) and Killzone 2.

RPG: Dragon Age: Origins (BioWare is my religion). Runner ups: Demon's Souls and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Action Adventure: Assassin's Creed II (simply because I love the Renaissance). Runner ups: Uncharted 2 (so epic) and Batman: AA (finally a Batman game I like). Anticipating Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

GOTY: Dragon Age: Origins. Mass Effect was the best game of 2007 imo and now Dragon Age is the best game of 2009. Maybe Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be better though (sort of kidding).

To say Halo 3: ODST's soundtrack is beautiful is an understatement.

I have Entertainment Weekly which has some game coverage...

Fallout 3...got bored.

At least Thane is on this one.
