I had the same problem with my 5850 sagging in the socket. The tool less system at the back of the case wasn't able to apply enough force to keep the card properly in place. I simply replaced the tool less clip with a screw and it works fine. flyingsnail

May I ask what type of screw you used? this might help as you said..

its recommended you take them out and reinstall them manually in the event this is a prebuilt.

Well I've done it 4-5times but it didn't work. By the way the motherboard is new I just forgot to mention so I think gfx might damaged any possibelities that might happen?

Hello folks,

My motherboard has damaged, so I bought new one. Do I have to install anything or is it ok if I just attach the parts and run the pc as normal?

Hello fellows,

I had my computer, which was shipped from USA, just today and the heatsink seems to be damaged after shipped. as far as I know the heatsink shouldn't be moved you need to screw and attach properly. so my heatsink has damaged and when I push it with a finger it moves and due to that the CPU temp goes to 85C which computer auto switches off. Is there anyway that I can re-attach? the motherboard is 1366 socket. I would appreciate if you could like explain me or link with pictures etc. Thanks

Overheating is normally a failed fan but if its brand new the heatsink might not have been attached properly.

dbaron26
do you have any link that show how to attach the heatsink properly?
