I think allot of people that aren't excited about it just don't want to be disappointed if it never launches. I myself can live without it, but at the same time think it's an awesome Idea.

Just think of it as this. You have website's like myspace and friendster, and you have chatrooms and forums. Pretty much places where people communicate with each other that have the same interests. What better way to do that on a gaming console other than a game like enviroment.

People already assume that if you end up using Home that you have no life or that your a loser. I think Home is just adds to the experience to the Playstation Community. You don't have to use it if you don't want to. But I think it's an awesome idea, I mean allot of people praise Live because of it's community. Home is pretty much gonna do the same thing.

I don't know though, it might just be me. I used to play allot of MMORPG's and I understand that it's not for everybody.

All you can do is use it to play your DVD's or CD's, to lessen the wear of your main drive since DVD drive issues are becoming a main problem nowadays.

One thing I can't understand is why people think that now that HD-DVD is dead doesn't mean the HD-DVD players just stop working. That's plain stupid. You can still watch the movies you own in 1080p and if you want more movies, they're selling for cheap now that the format is over. There's hundreds of titles out there on sale.

I own both a HD-DVD for the 360 and a Blu-ray for the PS3. I'm not really upset cause I have about 10 HD-DVD movies atm and will probably pick up more when I see anymore titles I want at a cheap prices. I am sad a little that no more new movies will be coming out. But until it breaks down or somthing. It will serve it's purpose, which is to watch my favorite movies in 1080p.

Well if you purchase the elite, other than the color of the console you'll be saving $80 just incase you plan on upgrading the hard-drive. But if you settle for a premium you won't be missing anything either. As of right now the 120 gb is only good if your gonna be getting allot of TV shows from the marketplace.

But isn't there gonna be changes with the console in the fall?

Even so I think it's not really necessary, it's actually becoming a standard in most games. And I think it mostly has to do with community. Having a multiplayer side of a game brings fans of the game together. I mean multiplayer is pretty much the same as having a buddy over the house.

Back in the day there were arcades where people can compete or play together. Well online has now replaced that. Granted Bioshock and Oblivion didn't need multiplayer to make them outstanding games. But how fun would it have been? Can you imagine how Bioshock would have been with all those different weapons and powers at you disposal.

I think in the future there will be less and less games without an online feature.

I want to play SR2 but I'm pretty sure it's just gonna be a renter for me this time around. Part one was ok, all it did for me was fill the void of waiting for GTA IV.

Let's face it, it was the Fatal Fury of open end gaming. Even so Fatal Fury was ok, it's was nothing but a rip of Street Fighter 2. Plus who here bought SR and never played GTA SA? GTA SA was the main reason I bought SR, but I'm kinda sick of the gangsta theme. It was a 90's thing, which GTA was based on. And here we are in the year 2008, I guess the developers still think that gang-banging is in. Plus WTF was up with the stereotype voice acting, I mean every-time I heard my created character talk, I wanted to shoot myself in the face. And WTF is up with Julius, that guy was like 50 years old, wtf is he still gang-banging? Obliviously it's not the money cause he still lives in an abandoned church.

I'm not bashing anyone that liked SR. I just don't think the devolopers were creative enough. Hell the True Crime series were more original than SR. I just saying that I didn't think it was all that great, but people will always have different taste.

I'm definitely gonna play it, just don't think I'll buy it.

All depends on the demo and the review scores for this game.splintercell989

Same also, everything looks good so far and I loved BF 2. But I have a gut feeling it might flop. I hope I'm wrong cause I hate Warhawk even so I pop it in once in a while. It doesn't give me the same fun I have playing Battlefield games. It's just after playing COD4, it made gave me a bad taste in my mouth everytime I popped in BF II in the 360.

I just hope EA took their time because the game was shaping to be good and not that the game is crap and their just trying to just fix what might be a mess.

I thought it was a great on-line shooter for a 3rd person game. Only real game I can compare it to is SOCOM. Yet I find SOCOM more run and gun. While MGO definitly takes planning. But I geuss it depends on your style of play. You can run and gun in MGO but you'll be missing out on half of what the game really is.

Nothing like stalking a person or setting up a trap. I was playing this game pretty much nonstop since beta started. Sad thing is that I purchased the COD4 map pack and ended up playing a different game. I did stop for a little bit to play GTA and beat it. But as soon as I got done with it. I went back to MGO and couldn't put is back down.

To me the funnest thing about playing on-line is competitiveness. People went after you like they had a vendetta or somthing. Things always went crazy playing that one mode with the frog. (Best mode in my opinion.) In this game there was nothing like knocking out another person with CQC then taking out his partner. What about cutting people's throats? Having 3 knocked out poeple in front of you as you take the last base. Or winning as Snake in the last 20 secs of a sneak mode.

I'm not saying I was great in the game. I barely had a 1:1 ratio. I just had allot of fun. When I played I felt the same aggressiveness I felt in COD4, SOCOM and CS. It's these type of games I look foward to playing time and time again. Though they need some improvements. If the game came out and they didn't change a thing other than more maps, modes, and weapons. I'd still be happy with it. People loved it and some people hated it. I'm pretty sure they'll be more than enough people that will be playing it next month so it doesn't really matter to me. :)

Yeah most Game stores(Gamestop) and Video Rental stores(Blockbuster) have Expensive Disc repair machines. Usually their nice enough to hook you up for free. If anything they'll charge you a small fee. Had to do that with a couple of my games.

Only thing I can see bad about Vietnam was that it was more of a defeat than a victory. I think there's still allot of old people around with mixed feelings about it. But then again, it's no different than Iraq atm.

I think the Battlefield Series did a Vietnam game, I don't think it did that well. But I geuss it's better than another WW2 game. I mean how many more times do we have to save Private Ryan! LOL

I think we're gonna be seeing less and less of Demos. Or at least less Demos of games prior to their release dates. I can see them releasing demos after a release of a game after a month.

But I really think Demos hurt sales. Or at least the average to crappy games get hurt. No one's gonna buy a game that plays like crap.

The Big name games though will always sell regardless, just cause of it's Name. (Madden, GTA etc.)

Funny how Ubisoft didn't release a demo of Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. Shame on you Ubisoft with all that BS hype you threw all over that POS game.
