This is true but
N64 came out in 1996 3rd party fade
Gamecube came out in 2001 3rd party fade
The wii came out in 2006 you guess it 3rd party support faded
So from 1996 to 2011 soon to be 2012 no nintendo home console has been able to maintain 3rd party support. So for 15 years going on 16 this has been the pattern. A new nintendo console comes out and 3rd parties say they are chuffed to make games for it. They make a game and the numbers come back then shortly there after 3rd party support dries up. The wii u would be the 1st nintendo home console from to snes days when nintendo basically had a lock on the market to have lasting 3rd party support if it last. The odds say once the next gen platforms of sony and microsoft come out the trend will continue.

I understand what you are saying, and it is not at all unreasonable. All I am saying is that, despite the odds overwhelmingly suggesting that for one reason or the other, Nintendo will not have sustained quality third party support, it is still ridiculous to assume that they simply CANNOT, and then act on it like the TC seems to be doing.
For all we know, Nintendo somehow manage to turn things around, however unlikely it may seem after more than a decade and a half.
I have been waiting for nintendo to turn things around for 15 years. IMO nintendo only cares about 1st party sales they only offer token support to 3rd parties. Unless the leadership changes I really don't have much hope for a big change at nintendo. I would never see nintendo say paying a 3rd party to make a hit game exclusive on the wii u for example. Things could change the stock price was what 36 usd last year (down from 60 usd in 2008) then after the e3 dropped to like 18 usd. Last I checked NTDOY was at 19.6 usd after the 3ds price drop. Clearly the share holders are upset with the 3ds sales and don't get the wii u either.
I think rather than lose their jobs the leadership at nintendo took pay cuts.
