You´ve perhaps already heard about this but Splinter Cell is to be a movie and is scheduled for release in 2010.

It seems to be very confirmed now, that the loved videogame franchise "Metal Gear Solid" will become a movie in the near future. If you search the internet movie database, imdb.com, "Metal Gear Solid is listed as a ongoing movieproject scheduled for the year of 2008.

I bought a nintendo wii points card the other day and downloaded "Sonic the Hedgehog", originally for the sega mega drive. It´s a really nice game :) But now I don´r know what to buy with my remaining 1200 points, but I think I will get "Gunstar Heroes", I´ve heard that it is a great game with very fun multiplayer but I´m not 100% sure of what to buy.

Yeah! I finally reached the pro status in bowling some days ago and my record in bowling is 216! :D

Yeah I´ve completed Rayman Raving Rabbids. Truly a wonderful game with a weird sense of humour, in a good way. 

Well, welcome to my first political blog post. I hope you will enjoy reading it and that you will find it interesting. I´m quite bitter about the year of 2007, at least when it comes to politics. Here home in Sweden the right-wing parties won the election after 12 years of a social-democratic government. Well it´s quite obvious now that I myself am a left follower. It´s not more than right that you get to know my political standing, I´m actually a member of the "Young Left".

Then what am I worried about? I´m worried about the USA and the middle-east and I´m VERY worried. Some days ago the UN voted about trade embargoes against Iran. The majority voted for a trade embargo and therefore it will be done. This subject has been pressured forward thanks to the USA because they don´t want Iran to proceed with there nuclear program. The USA claim that Iran will use the nuclear power to develop weapons of mass destruction but Iran says that it is only going to be used for peaceful purposes, as a power (electricity) resource.

Iran is one of the more developed countries in the middle-east and they are known to support Hizbolla and Hamas who opposes Israel and Israel is supported by the USA. Iran opposes the capitalist USA and the americans are afraid of what they´ll do next. In my opinion they are most just afraid of losing power, the USA seem to think that they own the world.

Now is it smart to make trade embargoes against Iran. Not if I have to say anything about it. It´s kind of an offence and provocation against Iran. They are probably very angry right now that the world wont let them use nuclear power as they think it´s their right to be able to use it. I mean the USA use it, Sweden use it, France, Great Britain etc. Perhaps their only purpose is to get cheaper electricity and develop their economy? Then of course they take it as an offence! What´s even more insulting is that George Bush helped India to develop their nuclear program! With this growing tension between the USA and Iran, Iran will most likely give even more money to Hizbollah and the result will probably be more violence.

Wouldn´t it be much smarter to start a constant diplomatic communication with Iran? The trade embargoes will only result in a growing tension between the west and east and more violence; I mean everyone can figure that out, shouldn´t we find other ways? The middle-east right now is like a ticking bomb, Iran has good relationships with other countries in the middle-east and let us not forget that almost all oil on the earth is located in the middle-east. What if the arabian countries united and said: Hey USA, now we´re ceasing our oil trade with you! What would the USA do then? They would probably launch a full scale invasion of the middle-east. The EU would probably try to act as a peacekeeping force but then they would get territory in the middle-east.

RESULT = World War III

MY OPINION = Resume diplomatic relations! Help them rather than oppose them, if you remain a close "friend" it´s easier to discover when they are up to something. "Keep your friends close but your enemies closer".

On the 22:nd of December I woke up to find my wii blinking blue. I turned the power on, entered the message board and found a delightful message from Nintendo declaring that the beta version of the "Internet Channel" had been released. Jumping of excitement I quickly entered the "Wii Shop Channel", found the internet channel and began downloading it. Now, (hehe) Mario running....jumping "pling", running....jumping "pling" and finally the last "pling". Now the "Internet Channel" is displayed in the wii menu, unlike the "Forecast Channel" the "Internet Channel" is poorly displayed in the menu with just blue text saying: Internet Channel, trial version. Very boring if you ask me but I do love the short audio clip playing when clicking on the channel. Booting the channel up went smoothly and you´re greeted with a sleek and simple interface, everything in wii-ish light blue. There are three options, "Favorites","Enter a Web Address" and "Help". After that you only need to know two things to get going, you scroll the websites with the b button and zoom in with the + button (big surprise there!). Well obviously it takes longer time to type in adresses and words with the wiiremote, but it´s really nothing that alter the experience. One of my first impressions of the web browser was how fast it was. It´s as fast as Apples "Safari" and perhaps sometimes even faster. I had some problems with some web sites though. I´m sorry to say that one of them was our dear Gamespot, but the Gamespot staff will probably fix that soon. They just have to make the site compatible with the wii browser. The overall experience is very positive. It´s very relaxing to surf the web from your sofa and the browser is as simple and intuitive as it can be. That the browser has flash and can play videos is wonderful, I´m 100% sure that I will spend many hours visiting sites like youtube with the wii "Internet Channel". If you don´t already know about it I would also like to recommend the site wiicade.com, here you can find flash games for the wii, you´ll have alot of fun. My overall score: 8/10
