[QUOTE="Rvdecwthug1976"]How do you guys feel about Jeff Fisher right now? Do you think he should resign and get off this sinking ship while he can and take some time off?Blazer88

I think he is a good coach. I would have to check his season record to confirm though because I had heard someone say he has a history of being very inconsistant. So he will do good one year, awful the next, ect...

My understanding of him though in Titan-ville is that is pretty well liked so he might not go unless he does actually step down. I not sure if that is actually true though since they aren't my team. I am only going off some things I heard elsewhere is the analysis leading up to this game.

Honestly who would want to step into that though? I wouldn't. I would rather have a fresh start in a new season rather than enduring someone elses mess with more than half the season left.

I never said he should step down right now. I meant after the season. This team is a real mess and they will be rebuilding for the next few seasons due to the things that I mentioned

I am not sure who would want to step into this Quagmire after this season, I will even go as far to say, they are bad as the Lions were last year right now

I never really trusted the Titans over the past couple of seasons, and was more surprised by their doing well. They lost Haynesworth and I expected them to be worse.

But there was no reason to think the Broncos would suddenly get this much better. It seemed like everybody on that team hated McDaniels, they lost a Pro Bowl QB, almost lost a Pro Bowl WR, and changed up their defense without the personnel to adapt. They haven't exactly faced the best competition, but I think a lot of people saw about 4 wins as their limit.

wallymartin

Well 3 of their 4 wins have came againist teams with winning records

Sure they beat the Bengals on a fluke play. Yes they beat the Patriots with Brady still struggling to find his form back. Yes Tony Romo has not proven he is reliable yet

But the thing is they all have winning records and that is chief among any luck or average players that these teams have

I cannot wait to see the Broncos/Giants game on Thanksgiving evening. It is the evening game, talk about one hell of a great match up on Turkey Day

Vince Young in for Titans now. CBS commentators think he will start the Titans next game. Thoughts?

Edit: Nevermind...lol. He was picked off on his first throw.

Blazer88

Well they have to try something. You cannot rely on a QB who is in his Late 30's and not have a solid QB in wait. I say the Titans need to give Vince Young another chance to show what he can do

But to do it with this bad of a team is really not fair to him and not a good way to evulate who their future QB should be

I think Jeff Fisher would be wise to resign and take a year or 2 off and get off the sinking ship in TN, they are a big rebuilding project with an older QB and no solid future QB in place. He would be wise to get off the sinking ship while he can

He has been a good coach in TN for 15 years, he has nothing to prove there, if he is smart he will get out of there

[QUOTE="wallymartin"]Patriots should try for triple digits. It's within reach.Blazer88

Yeah I have never seen any team ever get raped this bad ever. Brady sets a new record 5 passing Touchdowns within a Quarter. I wonder if Jay is crying while watching this game? haha

This is especially tragic for the Titans, being the number 1 seed in the AFC playoffs last year and getting raped this bad

But more importantly New England is showing that the still have some of that great offense left from 2 years ago. If we see Brady get more consisiant as the season progresses and New England gets some home games in January, they will be a tough out at home for anybody in January

To be fair two things to note.

I think its clear the Titans really suck.

I am not sure that anyone can judge how good or bad Brady will be yet. He is after all coming off a major knee injury that took him out of nearly the entire last season. He wasn't even in for an entire quarter and that was after missing all of the preseason games as well.

A good meanuring stick is actually Peyton Manning who as you all may remember had surgery on his knee coming into last season and that injury was not nearly as bad as what Brady had go through and Manning was struggling for nearly all of the first half of the last season. He got better though aroung week 8 or so and the team made the playoffs and this year is he fully back and on fire.

So can;t really say how Brady really will be but if he follows the same path as Manning than he should get better as the season goes on.

By the way the Titans really should more than embarassed if the Pats backup QB scores a TD on them. Dude is a rookie undrafted free agent who has never played in a pro game until today.

I think it is safe to say without any arguement, that the Titans are by far the most disappointing team in the NFL this year. I will even venture to say that they are one of the most disappointing single season teams, that we have ever seen

1. They are relying on a QB in his late 30's and have no steady future QB in the wings

2. Jeff Fisher is one of the most respected coaches in the NFL and for him to be winless at this point in the season is a huge black-eye for him

3. For a team that entered last year's playoffs as a number 1. Seed and to not have a win this year is just tragic

That I don't agree with. The Titans, a team that was already ****, are missing both of their starting CBs. Any decent QB would have 3 TDs.

While I do agree, it will be hard for any team to ever do what they did 2 years ago

But until I see Brady back in full form and they play more consisiantly, we will not know if they still have that kind of potential from 2 years ago again or not

But regardless of what happens, if they get some home games in January, they will be tough to beat there

I think Arizona has a good chance to repeat as the NFC champions, but with Kurt Warner at the helm of the offense and giving his age and not having a solid starting QB in place for when he retires is cause for concern and they did not do anything in this draft to solve that issue

If they can ever get the contract issue resolved with Anquoin Bolden and Chris Wells fits good into their offense and they get a good young QB, this team will be a force to be reckon with, for a few years
