It's the same reason why M Night Shyamalan doesn't make sequels. The story is pretty much dead by the end of the first game and there really isn't a whole lot more to say!

As much as I don't support always-on, I have to defend the industry by saying that the game industry is very different than other forms of entertainment. Record companies make money off selling CDs, concerts tickets, and licensing fee on the radio, movies...

Movies make money in theaters, DVDs, on demand...

However, if you discount product placement, game developers only have 1 revenue stream, which is selling NEW copies or DLS. That's why it's so hard for them

I know the industry is struggling, and I also know that game developers only make money on new copies sold. However, I worried that eventually, it will be impossible to pick up a vintage game and try to have it work without problem.
