:) Yeah, let's hope. Did you register your Xbox 360 from that email? I don't know if it was for gamers/people, that were planning on buying an Xbox 360 for Christmas 2007.

I got that too. But that's not what I was hoping for. I think those, like me, are out of luck. Seems I'll have to buy the couple of Xbox Live Arcade games, that I wanted. Even though the email and registering, said selected games from Microsoft. I would, even if I don't get the email, wondering what those games are?... Today is the last day. I'm hoping to get the email. If not, I'll see if my 360 got registered on Xbox.com.

Hi everyone,

Well, back on Saturday, November 18, 2006. I got an email from Xbox Flash, about getting 3 Free Xbox Live Arcade games. I didn't register my Xbox 360 until the day after Christmas 2006. That's when I got the system. I've been waiting since that day, to get an email. Today, Thursday, February 15th 2006, is the last day for Microsoft to sent out emails. The email is suppose to give the information, to get the Xbox Live Arcade games. I posted about this in early January, no one had gotten the email yet. How I would love to get my first 3 Xbox Live Arcade games.

how would u call your 360? any names?

i call mine "the lady"
zeroproyect
That sounds about right. Mine would be "Sexy Lady" or "Sexy Girl". The reason why, the 360 looks more like a female looking system. While the original Xbox is a male. Just think about it. If you have both, maybe you'll understand. But I've never officially made a name for my 360.

Yeah, there's some problems with GameSpot videos and servers. Even though I don't have a free GameSpot account right now. I too notice that the Low-Res videos are gone.

Hi Deadlybart356. :) Yes, it's a GameSpot server problem. It all started this new year 2007. My membership is gong to waste because of this. I'm hoping they fix it soon. They also need to atleast add a month to my membership. All I do with my membership is download HD Video Review, Developer Interviews. I'm using Internet Download Manager 5.08. It's good to know that it's not a Internet Download Manager problem.

Problem still is there. I was downloading NBA 2K7 (Xbox 360) HD Video Review. The file is 348.66MB, only got to 8.13%, then stopped. I could't resume the download. I hope GameSpot gets this fixed.

[QUOTE="SondraC"]UPDATE: We are performing various download test scenarios.

Thank you for all of your reports - keep up the posting and make sure you answer Sam's questions, please:

1.) What download manager application are you using?
2.) How many segments is the DLM trying to download at once?
3.) Approximately how long (in hours) does it take between the time you click to download and the time the problem appears?
4.) Are you using a scheduling feature or anything else specific to your download manager that would add delay time between when you click on the GameSpot Web site and the time the problem appears?

1.) Internet Download Manager 5.08
2.) 1 segment
3.) The download will take 16 hours and 27 minutes. The download will stop at about 25% of a 322.31MB HD Video Review.
4.) Using no scheduling

As for right now, Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter HD Video Review, is now available for download. When clicking the download link, it shows .WMV video. It was, yesterday and a couple of days before, showing .MPG format. I'm going to try downloading again. But the problem may continue. Seeing that it will take 16 hours and 30 or so minutes to download.

UPDATE: Well, it got 8% done, then stopped. When I tried to resume, it would point the download address to only http://us.gamespot.com/ . The problem is still here. But the HD Video Review links are back to normal. If only the servers would allow resume until the download is done. Then, cancel the link. I've seen servers do this.

If you are having problems

1) What type of internet connection do you have? Dialup/DSL/Cable/Wireless etc

2) Is your computer connected directly to the internet / modem or do you have a router (Internet gateway / firewall) in place?

3) What OS do you have?

4) Are you using Vista's or CP's built in firewall?
Vermifuge
1) Dialup, it's my only option to the internet.
2) I'm connected directly from the V.92 PCI modem.
3) Windows XP Home Edition SP2
4) I'm using Windows XP Firewall

This all started this year. GameSpot may have changed something with the servers, for this year.

Well, something seems to be going on. When checking out the Ghost Recon - Advanced Warfighter Video Review. My only option to download is HD Windows Media. That's what I want to download. But, the link to the HD Video Review is in .mpg format. So that's the standard Video Review. Last, there is also the long download address for the file. Maybe there will always been the long characters in the address.

I hope this gets addressed soon. My membership is wasting time. There is nothing I can do with it, only download HD video files.
