xbox 360 is outselling ps3..so stfu noobMost of you lot don't get it, the PS3 is a next generation console! It will have Blue-Ray (which xbox 360 hasn't got) and will all be in HD! In fact just stop saying that the xbox 360 will outsell the PS3, be thankful that all console developers are going forward with their technology, at least give the PS3 a chance!

joystick does not = a analog stick nubA precursor to the standard D-pad was used by the Intellivision console, which was released by Mattel Electronics in 1980. The Intellivision's unique controller featured the first alternative to a joystick on a home console, a circular pad that allowed for 16 directions of movement by pressing it with the thumb.
In 1981, the first true cross type directional button layout was invented, featured on Entex's short lived "Select A Game" cartridge based handheld system. It featured non-connected raised left, right, up and down buttons aligned to the left of a row of action buttons. (Basically if you dum sheeps can't understand, this is the first up, down, left, right d-pad. The only thing Nintendo did was just made it into a complete cross. But it performed the same exact function. Just read below.)
In 1982, Nintendo's Gunpei Yokoi updated this idea, connecting the points of the cross shaped button layout into the familiar modern design for their Donkey Kong handheld game. The design proved to be popular for subsequent Game & Watch titles, although the previously introduced non-connected D-pad style was still utilized on various later Game & Watch titles, including the Super Mario Brothers handheld game. This particular design was patented.
So now sheeps, what have we learned today? We have learned that Nintendo did not invent the d-pad. They only made it better. We also know that nintendo did not invent the analog control, they only made it better. So the very thing you despise about Sony which is copying and improving products, well guess what Nintendo did it first. TSHBO!

i dont like Zelda....its overrated IMO :) i have had nearly an year since i bought Wind Waker and still havent finished it coz it sucks expecially that sailingSilencer786(one of the casuals that suck at Zelda games)
It might make old games look better, but that is the thing it's still the same old game.
A way of hold on to the past and making it seem more than it's worth. It's become more or less then a gimmick.
Sure the Xbox 360 has Backwards Comp, But that job is for my black old xbox, which is right now still plugged in
but collecting dust as we speak. Not to mention the BC is horrid on the 360. Why even included if it has all these
issues?
And lastly The Revolution, with NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube.
I'm sure many Nintendo fans has all these systems stashed away somewhere are still have it plugged in.
Oh yeah thats Donkey Kong Country alright pushing 16 bit on my shiny new rev.:P
Oh the Nostagical is there and in full force.
But sometimes we as gamers have to let go of the past inorder to fully embrace the future.
the best is yet to come.
And those memories of those past games "good times" were prolly 1000x sweeter than those games ever were.
The memories and that is what they should be FF7 and alot of other games did not age well.
thats cause PSone sucked..lmfao if gamecube was backwards... I still play my N64..pain in the ass to hookup tho
What is the most overhyped series of all time?
Overhyped, as in: is hyped quite a lot but fails to deliver every time.
I'm thinking The Legend Of Zelda series, The Halo series, and The Metroid Prime series.
[/QUOTE what? Zelda?Metroid?Halo? every halo games scored over a 9.0, 90% of Zelda games did, same with Metroid...they are not over hyped I think GTA is overrated every GTA game has frame rate issues, buggy as f**K and just flat out sucks]i like them all but hl2 for me. even though i was expecting a lot more from hl2 'mostly the length of the game' simply cuz they took so damn long in releasing the game.alextheman123lol,
