My 360 always makes a weird noise when playing a disc. It sounds like it's scratching the disc but the disc doesn't seem to be scratched. Is that what was happening to you? Is this something that's covered under the warranty or is that only for the RROD?
You'll get this problem frequently because it's playing a square video SDTV image on a widescreen HDTV.
However, the Xbox has an easy fix. Simply move the left analogue stick until you get to "Display" on the menu during a video (the picture is a rectangle with a square in it).
Hit it until you get "letterbox" or "full". One of these will fill the screen.Enjoy your TV.

And this worked. Thank you my friend. You're the BEST!
So, I finally bought an HDTV and everything works fine and looks GREAT except for this one problem. I stream stuff from my PC to my TV and it's always worked fine, but now some of the videos show up as just a small square in the middle of the tv. Some will fill out the whole screen, but most just have the picture in a small square in the middle.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
It still shows I have half the power left.
I think it might have to do something with media center on my PC. I stream alot of stuff from my computer to my xbox and to my TV. Movies, mixed martial arts fights, pornography.
Could this be the problem?
What's the deal? The controller works and everything but instead of only having one fourth of it lit up, it just keep spinning then stops, then starts again. It's very distracting when I'm playing in the dark.
Any suggestions of whats going on?
I have Mass Effect, but my HDTV is in the shop (and has been for MONTHS while they look for a short) so I don't want to start that till I get my HDTV back. I'm just looking for a cute RPG and Eternal Sonata seems to be it.
Bummer about LO being crappy. I had such high hopes for it. It seemed EPIC.
My choices I guess are Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon. Out of these two, which one should I pick up?
I've been a FF gamer since FF III on SNES (6 I guess) and have played every FF since except XI. Big fan of the Breath Of Fire series too.
I tried to get into Oblivion, but it just wasn't for me.
I downloaded both demos and I'm leaning towards Eternal Sonata, but if that game sucks and Blue Dragon is better, I'll pick that one up.
Would I be better off just waiting for Lost Odyssey? I mean, I'll pick that up anyways, but if Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata are trash I might as well just wait?
