Assasin's creed is an awesome game, but to the OP... that's smart, post about a game that's not even released yet. "oh hai i pirated a game that's not released yet and it keeps crashings what possibly could be wrong? :("
ok I bought two asus3870x2's and 2 EK waterblocks, one was bad so i rma'd it, then newegg sent me back the asus card with 4 dvi's and 2 fans at first i thought "hell ya" but then i realized my waterblock wouldn't fit on it because of how asus designed the card. They put the dvi inputs right above the gpus so my block wouldn't sit flush on the gpus. So i just left one block on and ran the dual fan 3870x2 on air. CrossfireX was great with 3dmark06 (21,268) but actually screwed up both crysis and fsx matter of fact the only game it worked great on was cod4. So since the waterblock wouldn't fit anyway I just went ahaed and sold it and bought a 9800gx2. I should receive the card early next week.
So next week I'll have a 9800gx2 and my original 3870x2. I am going to do my own review of both of these cards and post it here. Every review I've read has the 9800gx2 pulling ahead, sometimes way ahead in games but most reviews show the x2 pulling ahead in 3dmark06. So I'm am going to do my own little review complete with pics and graphs, first time so it should be interesting.

Damn man, you've spend almost $1,500 on video cards lately. Why did you buy a 9800GX2 if you had a 3870X2 with a water block already that you wanted to Crossfire? Are they even going to make a wateblock cooler for the GX2 and it's crazy fans?
thats actually a great example of wasting money for no good reason...
hey I got money... sue me i want the best card out and I'll test these two side by side

i could never lower my standards :D... ok I got a problem. I have 2 EK waterblocks for my cards and I bought 2 ASUS 3870x2 cards.. now 1 was messed up so I had to RMA it. Newegg sent me the other ASUS card back, the one with 4 DVI outputs which sucks because my EK waterblock won't fit on that card. Now my case is louder and hotter... but I don't want to wait to send it back again, plus this card is worth more with the 4 DVIs and dual fan option, I could just sell the waterblock. And I'm selling these in a couple months anyway for the r700.
wow the OP is bent on defending this card lol, it's a nice card don't get me wrong... but for $200 more than the 3870x2??? HELL NO. The 3870x2 still pulled ahead in a couple games in those reviews and beat it in 3dmark on almost all the reviews. So why would you pay that much more for the gx2? I might dish out $525 but $600? Nope not me.
