A quick lesson about  "Backing" from companies... If it don't succeed, it ain't gonna last.. Just ask Nintendo.  besides I'm taking the wait and see approach with this next gen media format wars.

"wait and see" that is a good approach. But let me ask you which format do you favor? you have to know because one day you have to buy a next gen format player, lets say in three years when your DVD player brokes down.

1. bluRay has more space, 25GB per layer(8 layers maximum). HDDVDs 15GB per layer (6 layers max)

2. bluRay is backed by 8 of the 9 major movie studios. HDDVD only 3 of the 9

3. bluRay is backed by 70% of hardware manufacturers. HDDVD... please do the math.

4. bluRay is less likely to lose the format war, because of the trojan horse called PS3, which will put 2 million BD players on the hands of consumers by the end of this year.

5. 360 fans and Rev fans shouln't put themselfs against bluRay, instead they have the golden opportunity to watch how everything settles. I also recomend they should not vote with their money.

I made a thread before saying "people should stop buying xboxs and gamecubes bc their makers are focusing on their nex-gen systems and not in making great games for the current-gen systems" and the admins or mods closed it. This thread is worst than the thread I well-intentioned made.
