I know what you mean! Going back to older games is sometimes rather difficult. Like assassins creed 1, mass effect 1, even goldeneye is starting to feel outdated and un playable.

Goldeneye was an amazing game. I spent countless hours playing split screen with my friends on the N64.

Coming from a massive Halo fan- I'll have to say no. Halo 4 just didn't have that same spark to it that kept me playing Halo 3 and Halo: Reach for so many hours a day.

It is a great game, no doubt- but it just doesn't have the same feel if you're an older Halo fan. If you really want to, then go for it.

I thought Reach was even lackluster for some reason. It was still a good game, but it just didn't stack up to H2 and H3. I have to believe it has something to do with them taking away the 1-50 ranked playlists.

[QUOTE="Saedius_Asicion"]If Halo 4 is the only reason you're considering activating LIVE, then no, it is not worth it. The game has some life to it, but it honestly it not worth the LIVE subscription. They are constantly adding to it, but I just do not think the replayability is there like it was in the previous games, especially since the online gaming community is split between so many different multiplayer games. sruane23

Post is absolutely terrible, I can't stand people who put there $0.02 in with no reasoning. First of all, you don't know what his finances are like so I think saying that activating XBL for HALO 4 is not worth it is very subjective. Stop giving advice to posts out of your own pocket. I personally have XBL and the only online game I play and plan to play is HALO 4. For me this is my favorite HALO yet. I really like the diversity in game modes, the new maps and the different weapons implemented in to HALO 4. I really like what 343 and I'm enjoying this HALO a lot. I'm mostly a single player guy, but for me I don't mind paying for an enjoyable online gaming experience.

I'm not a XBOX Fanboy. I also have a PS3 and I do think that live should be free because they bombard us with advertisements however that doesn't take away from the enjoyment I receive and the yearly cost of xbox is inexpensive in my terms.

You're right, I don't know his finances, but he obviously has some qualms about it if he is asking if it's worth it. I simply gave my opinion, and if I remember correctly I didn't ask for your opinion on my post. And I did give quite a few different reasons why "I didn't think it would be worth the live subscription. So, maybe next time read the entire post and not just the first sentence.

Nice topic by the way.

Probably Mass Effect 1, off the top of my head.

Alucard_Prime
I was a huge Mass Effect 1 fan myself. It's funny because looking back at ME1 it lacks so much that they managed to fix and polish in the sequels. I think a lot of its charm, for me, comes from it being one of the first games I played on the 360.

Sonic Adventure, Resident Evil 4, and Ratchet and Clank. As for the Xbox 360, I would have to say the original Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

I think Microsoft should just focus on the console. They really don't need to compete in the portable market when they could essentially dominate the console market, which is where most of the money is anyway. We all know that's what matters to them, and of course it will give us a better quality product if they aren't spreading themselves thin trying to keep up in both markets.

Borderlands 1 and 2 are very similar games in my opinion. I feel like you can build better characters in Borderlands 2, but I thought the first one was better, especially with the DLC minus Moxxi's Underdome.

I enjoy Halo more than most other shooters and I have dabbled in a lot of the popular ones. I believe that if it weren't for Halo 2 online multiplayer would not be what it is today. I feel like Halo was an extremely competitive game before Reach. As soon as they introduced progressive ranks and got rid of the competitive ranking I think it lost a lot of its allure. Something about grinding for that next rank and possibly losing it made the game last a lot longer than simply climbing in rank by playing a lot.
