Same. I was like wtf is ground zero. it's a great name for a rave or somethingJandurin

Heh it's funny because over there on GameFAQs they were all like "what are you an idiot" or "hey hermit under a rock, did you know Hitler was in Germany" and stuff like that.

The term was never used much when I was around... though obviously it doesn't mean that people weren't using it all the time.

Apparently Nintendo stole some music or whatever and it would be too expensive to license now.

Meh that's unfortunate. I love the game's setting and I wish there were more real world-ish RPGs. I know of stuff like the Persona series but I want it to be more like Earthbound.

I know Nintendo don't have to do anything for anyone, and they can still get rich, but a little advertising and good marketing could ensure that this game would sell a lot and the Earthbound series would be recognized.

Like, absolutely not. I've heard of the Empire State Building, the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, but Ground Zero?

Well I never was much for those Green Zone and Red Zone and other army speak. But still, it's amazing what taking stuff out of proportion to make ratings does to situations like these. One of the downsides of Capitalism in America, the idiots who give the news their ratings and make a pandemic out of everything.

You're trying to sleep in the middle of the night, and you can't hear anything.

There's absolutely nothing to hear, neither the ticking of a clock, nor the vents of the AC, or really anything for that matter. All is quiet.

And yet... My eardrums are fit to burst! Do you ever feel that way? The sound of silence is so loud you almost can't take it?

I think it started out ok but I got kinda tired of the characters.

Also the last few episodes had an unbelievable reek of desperation

I hated in the second one when:
that scene with Mary Jane running through the park and Peter finally getting the girl. SO CRINGEWORTHY! It's not that I think superheroes shouldn't get the girl, it's just the way it's handled is gosh darn annoying.

Pokemon games have the option between the two genders. Persona 3 PSP recently placed that option as well.

As a male, I'd play as a male, simple as that. The stereortype is that most video gamers will choose a VG female character to ogle at her assets and boobs and ass. Which is rather... pathetic.

What really needs to be changed is how sad most video game females are portrayed, especially in the age of the Internet because I would hope if one chooses to be... raging with hormones, they'd have another outlet to do it than in video games where the medium needs to be taken more seriously if it is to evolve.

I'd say maybe games need more protagonists like Jade, from Beyond Good and Evil? Also um... well I can't think of any at the moment, but mostly not the generic femme fatale that use their sexuality as like the only weapon. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Vault_Monkey

Agree with everything you said, I was going to rant but thankfully I don't have to. You said everything that needed to be said.

I agree as well. There isn't a real NEED for women characters to be different than males. But the whole fanservise thing is kinda disgusting.
Huh?meetroid8

What part didn't you understand?

This isn't gamefaqs.

Yeah seriously.

Anyway I've found that those boards happen to be horrible as well. ESPECIALLY this one called Current Events... disgusting.
