My 120GB ps3 slim is actually 111GB. To be honest idk why this is the norm in the electronics world. The PS4 should have been labeled 400GB instead of 500GB.
It is because us humans represent everything in base 10 (where giga = 10^9), however computers only see in base 2 (where giga = 2^30).
So if you have a 500GB harddrive represented in base 10, it would only be 465GB in base 2.
I honestly don't get why console makers would charge so much more in other territories. If they can justify $400 here, why not there? Why charge nearly $2000, especially? Could someone who understands these kinds of economics explain this to me.
Because it isn't up the console makers to decide what the government wants to charge in taxes and fees.
Just like the ps4 isn't techinically 400 dollars here, it is 400 dollars + % taxes that apply for your state.
Forza is still King. The press has no choice but to remove a few points because it has less tracks and cars overall than Forza 4. 200 cars is more than enough for me, I never got to go through more than 75% of the cars on previous Forza games anyways, so I really don't care about this. GT series lost the crown to Forza a while ago, and it's not even close to regaining it. They have to release the game first, they're always too late to the party.
Until Forza can break 10 million sales consistently like Gran Turismo can, it will never dethrone the GT series. Scores really don't matter other then system wars, more people enjoy gran turismo and the sales prove it.
