Blu-Ray does not make games better. I say this as a PS3 owner. Blu-ray isn't the future, Hard Drives are the furture, with direct download.

kraken2109

we are no where near the bandwidth needed for a full conversion to direct downloads for everyone.

by the time half life 3 comes out, we'll probably be on next generation of consoles. Valve still has to finish Half Life 2: Episode 3 first.

I think this one is the best:

"Cloud Storage Space for Games
Store your game saves on a virtual secure saver. This would allow you to access your game saves at any point in time, and from any PlayStation 3 or PSP console you are logged in on."

It's a contest, not a demo. Us serious guys will be spending countless laps for the next month attempting the perfect lap.

Up to 4th for the normal car myself.

One aspect does not make one more realistic than another, neither Forza nor GT have the steering quite right, but we're using controllers anyway, not like its easy to "feel" that.

Nagidar

Get a steering wheel, PD plays the game with logitech steering wheels. You haven't experienced Gran Turismo if you don't have one.

I can guarantee at least 90% of the time trial winners will be using steering wheels

Dude, WTF are you on? We're talking about the way they look, not the placement...

Nagidar

so then you are complaining because trees aren't detailed exactly. Because it terms of buildings and stands, they are pretty freaking close.

Are you not paying attention to this WHOLE debate? It's about people saying the backgrounds in a racing game don't matter, and I was pointing out they add to the immersion of the game, if they're going to add these things to the game, it should be done right.

Nagidar

And how is it not being done right? They placed trees in accurate places, they placed buildings in accurate places, they placed stands in accurate places. So how exactly is it not being done right?

You're kidding, right? There are trees and buildings all over the place...

Nagidar

because there are trees and buildings inside of INDY. There is even4 holes of a golf course within indy's (oval track) borders.

You obviously know nothing about Indianpolis.

So, Nuerburgring Nordschleife, Tokyo City, and Suzuka, have no trees / buildings?

What do those tracks have to do with this arguement, they aren't even in the GT Academy event. The track in the event is at the Indianapolis GP course.

The arguement is that you guys say the environments are boring and suck, and our reply is the environments are accurately done according to their real life counterparts. I'm actually preparing some reallife vs GT Academypictures right now.
