Also I know I get off topic a lot, but can you use SATA hard drives with IDE hard drives? I want to transfer everything from my IDE drive to my new SATA drive, windows included, even the partition if i can
uninstall and reinstall the driver, and see if it still shows up as unlocked, thats what i would try first. And if it doesnt work, install an older driver, uninstall it and then reinstall the lateste version.greatmax1
but would that change whether or not newegg would take it back?
And when you say "hasn't rally been overclocked" does that mean you have overclocked it slightly, or not at all.
SLandeRR
I let it do ati's recommended overclock then ran it a little lower than that with Ati Tools. I didn't think it would void the warranty if there was an official Ati tool for doing it. It's not like it used to be when overclocking when ati and nvidia would've liked to call the cops on anyone they found overclocking their parts. But after I did it it wouldn't let me lock it back. I thought the lock was just a way of saying "the card's not running at its default settings right now" and when it was locked back it meant "safe"
it's not screwed up, it's a radeon x1950xt card, about 1 week old. I thought I might trade it and get a 8800gts. there's nothing wrong with it except for ati saying it has been unlocked. i'm not sure if that matters because nothing has been done to hurt the card
With the ATi drivers, there is the ATi Overdrive tab in the video settings. Before you overclock youir card with it, you have to unlock your card, and you can't re-lock it. it always saves the date and time of when you unlocked it.
If a card has been unlocked, even if it hasn't really been overclocked at all, will newegg accept it as a return?
My mouse jumps and jitters when it comes to more precise things. like when i'm sniping in bf2142 it's difficult to move small distances because it'll just jump diagonally rather than move right.
Also the nearest best buy is 70 miles away (lol) my options are the cheap Allsop pads walmart sells. I don't have much against them but i can see where they wouldn't be the best thing for an optical mouse
But hey, at least it's not a ball mouse, could you imagine? haha.. actually i remember sniping better in unreal tournament 8 years ago with a ball mouse than i do now in bf2142
