@Pockets69 @SambaLele And that's not the only issue here. The way Phil Spencer is avoiding the "always online" issue, it sure seems like you have to be on at least once after you turned your Xone on.

PR people always say at least the minimum that's favorable to their product. It's not far fetched to believe you'll have to be online at least once a day, or once every time you sit down to play.

That's DRM. They want you online every time so that they can see if the game you're playing is legit and payed for - even if you've paid for it already when you bought it.

So now we're going in this direction, where we have to re-buy what we own from time to time... to never actually own it.

You know, the gravity of the problem here is that it messes with the concept of owning what you bought.

When you buy a game, you're not the owner of the intelectual property. You can't decide what direction the series may go, what will happen with each character (unless the devs make the possibility you want available), etc.

But you ARE the owner of the copy you bought.

If I buy a car, of course I'll be able to sell it later, or even lend it to someone, without having to pay again for that. If I had to do that, i wouldn't be the owner of what I bought.

So, that's it, they are messing up the concept of private property.

And I won't ever buy a product that takes part in creating that kind of anti-capitalist precedent.
