So the i5 is the way to go. This is exactly the kind of advice I was looking for. Thanks so much!

My HP laptop just overheated and fried my motherboard and/or CPU less than two weeks after the warranty expired (convenient) so now I'm looking for a new desktop. I'd rather not wait for new hardware to come out, as I need a computer for school, which has already started.

The cost of this setup is $927, not including shipping and handling. Is this a good price or could I buy one cheaper elsewhere (this is from cyberpowerpc)?

CPU: Intel® Core i7-4770 3.40 GHz 8MB Intel Smart Cache LGA1150 [+120]
HDD: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD [+6] (Single Drive)
MEMORY: 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory [+37] (Corsair Vengeance [+0])
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock B85M-ITX Intel B85 mITX Mainboard w/ IRST, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, Display Port, HDMI, USB 3.0, SATA-III, 1 Gen3 PCie x16
SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
VIDEO: AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card [+179] (Major Brand Powered by AMD)

I'm not looking for maxed setting or anything, as long as it can play all the next gen games I throw at it, even if it has to be medium or low, I'll be happy.
Also, would you recommend Windows 7 or 8 if they cost the same?

It seems more and more like a generic mmo. The world has the generic grindy one monster every five square feet design, which is nothing like Elder Scrolls. It was designed with third person and action bars in mind, which is nothing like Elder Scrolls, and it sounds like there's gonna be generic fetch quests, also nothing like Elder Scrolls.

It also doesn't seem very immersive. I doubt we will be able to steal items off counters and get caught and go to jail, or attack villagers, then steal a horse and run while being chased by the guards.

Hopefully the class system will be like previous ES games, where you still have a skill system and can level your skills up, since it won't be like Skyrim's classless system.

I'm really not suprised that it's not going to play like a "real" Elder Scrolls game, but one can hope. I just wanted the Elder Scrolls experience. but with friends. That would have been awesome.

I have no idea what the loot system will be like, but I seriously doubt we will be able to take all the weapons and armor off people and until were overencumbered. It'll probably just be worthless junk loot. Sell all your spider carapaces and rough pebbles and bug eyes to the junk vendor to get 6 gold.

In short, this just doesn't look like an Elder Scrolls game.

for me, it feels like dawn of sorrow was better done with better quality, but you should go with what you feel is better.
