Any day that ISN'T a nationally recognized religious holiday is a day to celebrate. It's like an "Un-Birthday." (Mad Hatter FTW) In that respect, we've got waaay more "holidays" than them! :P
I still "celebrate" Christmas. Does that mean that I'm a hypocrite? No. It means that presents are awesome and I just don't give a flying ****.
The Spaghetti Monster IS real! You lie SimpJee, YOU LIIIIEEEE! *runs off crying*
I love how when I tell a Christian that I'm an atheist they get a little uncomfortable but when I tell a Christian that I'm an agnostic they try to "fix" me, like there's still a chance and I just don't know enough about Jesus yet.
Ever notice that people of non-Christian religions don't usually try to push it on you? :P
You think the Romans were intellectually immature? Are you actually serious? Lansdowne5
YES!!! I do!
Could an intellectually immature society have built an extensive highway system that connected the desert of Egypt and Palestine to the cold, snow-covered forests of Germania and Northern Europe?Lansdowne5
YES!!! No-one said they weren't crafty! Beavers are crafty! Ingenuity and technological talent (plus a little thievery) does not equal "intellectual maturity." The are smart enough to build something like the Colosseum and yet what do they do in it? They celebrate MURDER! OF SLAVES!!!
[QUOTE="epayps2"]I believe you. It's my mom who's paranoid >_>...My mom trusts me. :)

I ate my mom...
Without suffering we would not be able to appreciate what a Loving god God really is. It is only through suffering that our finite minds can perceive it. :)Lansdowne5
I must respectfully disagree good sir. :) My mother doesn't have to punch me in the face from time to time in order for me to know that she loves me by contrast. Also, I find the human mind to be one of the least finite things in the universe when at it's full potential.
I believe that rightness and wrongness is defined by people rather than by the nature of the action itself. That is to say that any given action does not have the property of being right or wrong just as any given piece of art does not have the property of being beautiful or ugly. Society ascribes morality to actions rather than actions ascribing morality to society. domatron23
Word! I agree completely.
