I believe the military does make EMP proof electronics like laptops and communication devices. However it's very very expensive. If an EMP does hit I'd be less worried about your electronic devices and more about not dying.

I was really psyched for Bioshock 2 when it was first coming out but after reading the reviews and seeing how fast its popularity faded I was a little disappointed.
