How about gaming keypads? The reason i want to buy a mechanical keyboard is for gaming, does gaming keypad offers more value or performance when it comes to gaming?NerubianWeaver
I personally dont care for the gaming keypads. I prefer just to stick to my main keyboard and not add something to hop back and forth between. Even when I go to large LAN parties I dont see many using the gaming keypad things. I suppose everything in this area is persoanl preferance but I know I'm not a fan of them.
I also wanted a keyboard with backlit keys. What's the cheapest mechanical keyboard with backlit keys? NerubianWeaver
The only 2 mechancial keyboards I really here of people using for gaming are the Das and Black Widow. As far as I know the Black Widow is the only Mech KB with back lit keys. Ive seen the BW for as low as $105.
[QUOTE="WiiMan21"]it's very difficult to self-build a laptop...Prime example as to why you don't buy pre build computers.

Exactly, I dont know how else you would get a laptop? lol and even so, The problem isnt with prebuilt vs custom its with knowing what you are looking for when buying. It was a gift so not much he could have done aobut it anyway.
I was looking to sell one of my Geforce GTX 285s a couple weeks ago and noticed a few going for 30 to 40 bucks that seemed to be in decent shape and came from reputable sellers.
*edit- Just looked again, none on there right now for less than 75 but yea check ebay.
QuakeLive is fun and free! Graphics are outdated obviouosly but still a great game.
Tribes: Ascend is now in open beta so you could get that for free as well if you register on their website.
I would say you could give World of Warcraft a try since its F2P up to level 20 but I know thats not everyones cup of tea.
All I know for sure is....If you are new to PC gaming and all you have is SC2....buy the orange box! great deal for only $19.99
[QUOTE="SaviorXavi3r"]It's growing actually, if somebody wants to talk about the word death related to PC gaming, that person should know at least that much.I more meant that it isnt growing rather than its dying. Mostly due to the barrier to entry. Its expensive and these companies pushing these all in on gaming rigs IMO arent helping anything but the already established PC gamer.

Whats growing though is what im getting at, F2P micro transaction games? Social Media Games? Indie Games from steam? I can see all that being on the upswing but outside of that (which I dont equate to my idea of PC gaming) what do we have thats new and has sustainable multiplayer? Starcraft? I cant think of much more.
I mean just go to the review page here and sort by rating. Then scroll through for a few pages. Tell me how many games on there were A. Made within the last 4 to 5 years. B. Still have a following. C. Arent console ports. There just isnt many....You dont see games with lasting appeal anymore...and maybe thats the nature of the beast nowadays but I dont think it has to be that way.
