Before taking on a major company such as BioWare it might be good to gain a little bit of experience before hand, you could either do that by working for, as you said, a smaller company or by attaining a Bachelors Degree in something like Computer Science, Game Design, or anything related. Although it's not impossible to be hired without it, the experience and/or education will help you to make the most of your career as well as give you a head start.

Best of luck!

One cool thing about the industy is there is really something for everyone. If you like numbers, system design, be a programmer. If you like being creative and coming up with new ideas, be a designer. If you like drawing, be an artist. If you like the business aspect, be a producer. You can also write, compose, really and endless amount of opportunity. Even beta testing to some extent. Keep looking around, there's something for everyone.

For me it would be a Sci-Fi world like Mass Effect that would win.

Although the Pokemon world would be pretty interesting...

Check the compadibility with your PC specs and OS first. Then, try making sure your game is patched up to the most recent version and make sure you have a up to date video driver. Good luck.

Yes , it's very much worth it, don't listen to these guys. The textures, lighting effects, npc and gun modelshave been greatly improved. I played them back to back to comparethe differences and they're huge.

I agree, Black Mesa is going to be great but if you still want a great experience you should pick it up, it's inexpensive and will offer you plenty of good playing time.

If you want to play a godly RPG, pick up Mount and Blade. It's godly. KHAndAnime

Agreed, check out Mount and Blade, it's a great game and should work ok on your laptop, also I saw some mentioned up there but be sure to check older games like the Diablo series, they're still great!

Published 12 years ago, the statistics are probably at least 14 years out of date since it takes a few years to compile them, it's still not anything i'm going to take seriously. Especially considering some of the topics on the GunCite homepage, "The Myth of Nazi Gun Control", "Bogus Gun Control Quotes", their slander of the Brady Bill. Just seems like a website operated by gun nuts.

I refuse to believe that single site as it is a pro-gun website, which means it is biased. I'd be interested to see a government statistic, something official.

Yes, because more innocent people are killed then people are actually saved by "self-defence". As a matter of fact, "Self-defence" is just a term thrown around by the NRA. The fact is unless you are a celebrity, self-defence killings almost never hold up in court of law.

Also, people who use weapons for self-defence are more likely to get them self killed then anything, either by lack of strength (gun gets taken from them), lack of knoledge (can't use weapon properly) or shot down by police officers (mistaken for the criminal.)

Which leads back to my original point, leave it to the professionals.
