Why does ithe game have to be playable on the 360? By that logic we can't call Mario as the platformer king because it can't be played on the 360 or ps3.

You don't, if you want to crown a game to be king it's best to use facts. Counter-strike is still the most played game of any genre on the planet. This includes steam, private servers, and Internet cafes around the globe. Goto any decently sized internet cafe and the 3 games that is being dominantly played on them is (Counter-strike, Starcraft, then Warcraft (DOTA).

I am still wondering however, why you think only a 360 exclusive can "dehtrone" Halo 3. Because that assumption came from nowhere.
