Now that Sony has conceded defeat in the power battle, what is the future of Playstation? Will Sony ever get back the power crown? Lets face it, Microsoft is not going to let Sony win the power battle for the foreseeable future. Sony may release a more powerful PS5 in 2019, but Microsoft will release the next Scorpio in 2020. They will always be one step ahead. Sony will have to keep bringing the exclusives, but however good they may be, Sony hasn't got that billion dollar franchise like Halo or Gears. Sony are heavily invested on PSVR, an untested platform. Judging by the reviews I think its just a gimmick just like their 3D efforts on PS3.
@Scipio8: Just like the PS2 was dead on arrival when it launched before the more powerfull Xbox? They were going to release a PS4 slim version anyways because of 4K BD support. So if they chose to add more processing power, that's just a plus. It's going to sell quite good, since it actually has games, and it won't cost another 500$ like the Scorpio.
Lol, the reason the PS2 did so well was because of its vast game library and content. The original Xbox was limited by its library. This is not the case anymore. Where is the source for the PS4 slim? Where is the source for the added processing power? None. Where is the source for Scorpio costing $500? None (though at that price point is still worth it). The NEO is nothing but a cash grab by greedy Sony. They had no reason to release a new console but got too greedy. At least the Scorpio has decent specs. The Neo is still born, admit it.
Since its cross buy the split doesn't matter, UWP means its essentially one code base. If they sold a million games they sold a million games. Everybody wins.
