I believe that music is only 2.0 and not 5.1 . :)
But if you absolutely want 5.1:
I would recommend either the already mentioned G51 or Z-5500.
However, I have no idea about the quality of them... I heard the Z-2300 few years ago and back then I though it sounded pretty neat, so I believe both of those sound awesome as well.
...at least the bass is good if nothing else is. :P

I don't believe it's done by virus if you've formated your HDD.
Most likely it's some driver problem as mentioned.
Intensity Pro has 1x HDMI input and 1x HDMI output.
Only way to record HD footage from PlayStation 3 is to use component cable. Don't mess this with composite!
PS3 is HDCP secured, so you CAN'T record via HDMI.
Came to my mind that after you see the HD on your own soffa, you realize how bad the SD really looks (DVDs and video games both) and that there's no way you're going to downgrade back to SD.
Bit off-topic, but for those who knows the difference between HD and SD:
They're already planning the next HD standard that comes after Full HD.
It's called SHV (also known as UHDTV). Google for more info if you're interested.
but Modnation Racer is the best because you can make your own track/racer/car and practically have all the Mario Kart tracks downloaded ready to play.

Modnation Racer sucks because I don't own it - yet...
Kung Fu Rag Doll: Fists of Plastic is so cool because... ehm... well, just look at it!
Well, if you want HD quality, then I can recommend you the following:
Blackmagic Design: Intensity Pro.
I know, you wanted $100 and this ain't that...
However, that's what I use, and I can tell you that it's THE best capture card, in my opinion!
Though, you might be interested that PS3 has HDCP protection, so you can't record through the HDMI on it.
You need the component cables if you want to record in HD from it.
Well, if I had to choose one, it's Gothic II.
But there's lots of good games from earlier than 2006...
Need for Speed (series), Splinter Cell, Worms World Party, Age of Empires II, FlatOut.
Those came to my mind from the straight.
If I can suggest one great game for you to try out (from 2007, though); Penumbra: Overture , and it's sequel(s).
Not Xbox 360 game, but Microsoft related anyway. :P
Gothic II.
Roughly counted, I've played about (over?) 300 hrs of it...
About 7-8 complete playthroughs (first time playthrough took me about 100 hrs) and then just many hours of having fun with cheats, then just messing around and stuff.
I like to play games more on Xbox 360.
Movies are better to watch on PS3 (Blu-ray).
Wii is good for older games (such as NES, etc.) on todays TV's.
(unless you want to buy some adapters to hook up older consoles on your today's TV / screen)
If you want most of graphics, then PC.
