I'll just toss this in here: This is the real reason so many people are against developers having censor control of the ps4 share button. All it takes is one or two overzealous incidents and suddenly everybody will be swimming in red tape.

See it's stuff like this that causes the media and government sabre rattlers to get knocked off track. The only realistic response to this *ahem* "study" is no shit, Sherlock! Nobody, particularly gamers, will deny that the medium can do things like altering mood or whatever. The real question that needs to be answered is did the act of playing *cause* the outburst? Or was it a problem that was always there looking for a trigger?

And its a question we'll never know the answer to, even if someone actually figures out how to test it. After all, as has already been proven REPEATEDLY, if the answer goes against the established line then its obviously wrong. Right?

Is that really all it takes to make your judgement? Honestly.

You think they'll censor out all the UUU's just to be safe?

Agreed, all around! Though I actually felt Second Story was a bit *too* grand. I just never had the free time to play it through more than once!

And of course, Valkyrie Profile is one of the greatest games of all time!

To be fair, that's likely cause not many people are willing to buy a ps3/360 when next gen is already within earshot. And you know...the Vita also, I guess.

I think your starting to see what I mean. Consider that you aren't just dealing with "dimension" shifting but also time travel. The two are connected.Imagine time as a straight line. With Booker at one moment of his life leading inexorably to another, another, another and on till he dies. You aren't the same person when you die as when you turned 10. There are effectively an infinite number of you split in completely different dimensions, always creating more through the act of existing. If you could go back and remove an early link in the chain, ie kill your younger self, nothing afterwards could ever have happened. However up until that point nothing would change. Now add in branches on the side to represent the dimension switching aspect. They could effectively try a near unlimited number of times by being careful how far they go back on any given attempt.

However my point was that they ARE all the same Booker. Which means they didn't NEED to keep bringing our dimension's instance of him repeatedly. Another dimension's Booker couldn't have made the same choices as the one we know. Because its the act of choosing that cause the creation of every parallel universe. Everything that can happen, will happen, and has already happened. All at the same time. Yet its still him. If he comes into contact with the memories from a different version of himself, they become his. Because they ARE his. He made choices, even if he actually had no part in the choosing. But because his mind is only attuned to his own dimension, his own reality, he has no way of realizing it till he gets there.

Its basically the Infinite Worlds theory. Where every choice ever made causes the universe to split itself like an amoeba into an unlimited number of side dimensions that are just out of our ability to sense. So yeah. Sort of naturally convoluted. Ie:The perfect concept to base Bioshock Infinite around.
