Topic > Sorry dude, thats really odd!
Hmm I would reccomend either Warhawk or UT3, both excellent multiplayer focused games. Shaqneel
I'm not a fan of UT. I'm not sure about Warhawk...is it even a pure FPS?
So does anyone here the ones that got your PS3, did you get the 40gb?--MAV3R1CK--
I live in UK and I couldn't find any 60gb PS3's and I didn't wanna ebay it(im not an ebay fan). So i basically had to get the 40gb one
I got a PS3 with Assasins creed, Uncharted and Fifa 08. Still got lots of money to get another game and controller:D
This is my best Christmas ever!!!
I just got my PS3 for Christmas:D around with Assasins Creed, Uncharted and Fifa 08 and i still have lots of Christmas money left. My question is what POPULAR Multiplayer game to get as I like kickin a** online :D.
P.S. I liked R6 - Vegas (thought it might be helpfull:|)
Its not even about the money, almost any "pro" gamer will tell you this. Its about getting as much skill as possible out of the game, having personal rivalries. Now I am only talking about the 1v1 DM scene as that is all I really keep up with.
Playing a game 8hrs+ a day is fun, it can get tedious and granted there will be times when you feel burnt out. But knowing that I am still not the best, or even just a top player drives me to play more and more. It drives me to become better, smarter, faster and just very well rounded in all games rather than just one.
Anything that you want to become good at will take dedication. granted being a pro gamer isnt for everyone and I'm not saying thats its the best in the world.
Korea took it a step further and made it big. Only for RTS of course. But I would love to see Quake 1v1 as popular as that. Granted it did get popualr back around 2002-2004. But it died out mostly, even though there is still a community for it.
So basically being a pro gamer is just about dedication and knowing that you have acheived what most others couldnt say. Its about a personal gain rather than a money hungry thing. But now if your not good enough then ya, you will definitely need a second job besides gaming. You should never give up your life to try to become pro. Its just about taking the time to play and eventually you will get there, if not o-well.
Most pro's play through their college years, so its not like they have much else to do. If you love the game you would want to get skilled at it, After getting skilled you probably want to show it off, and what a better way then to go to a tourney, meet some of the online ppl you play with and see who is better on LAN ping.
Gaming is about fun, using skilled, well balanced games for competition just takes the fun that much further. Money is just so that you can pay for the traveling, food and living. I play for fun, I really enjoy quake, and I see how much skill there is in the game, why not play as much as i can to get better at it. After all its human nature to be competitive. =)

Whom are u talkin to???
Why are you so jumpy when anyone says something negative about it?
Go ahead try and be a pro gamer, we will all laugh as you fail and get beat by. south koreans who play 12hrs a day.
You would need a 2nd job to keep playing.
Thats what i'm annoyed about...I said it about 3 or 4 times that I'm not planning on being a Pro Gamer  and I don't wanna beat any koreans!! All I wanted to know is if there were any Pro Gamers at Gamespot and what it takes to be one and IF it makes money. (I didn't say it does!!)
