[QUOTE="jonathant5"]I am sure that in a year or so, 3rd party devices will be released that can circumvent the region lock. As for the who US/Pal issue, I am sure that if you went to Datablitz and requested that they order you a Pal version, they would do that. The other option is checking Play-Asia (or another online retailer) to see if they sell the PAL version. Of course you could just get the US ver. and always buy US games even when you are back home. And hmm Philippines for college, as there are not too many good ones here as far as I am aware, in fact I think there are more good ones in Mid. East if Im not mistaken (well depending on country), any particular reason you chose the Phili's?

It's because I'm a Filipino lol. I go to Far Eastern University. All of my friends are here. Anyway about the 3DS, if I bought the PAL version here in the Phil. I wouldn't be able to buy games while I'm here because they're from US.

Not really...

You can play PSP games on the Vita, but since it doesn't have a UMD drive they would have to be the downloadable versions. Not the same thing to me.

True. Some are great UMD-only games like Crisis Core. For this reason, I might get the new PSP E-1000. :)

So far both have great RPG games. I can still play the PSP games on PS Vita, can't I? If so, I would be getting the DSi then.

You can't go wrong with either when it comes to JRPG's. Go to gamerankings, select all time best and then choose PSP and DS. For the category, choose roleplaying and compare the two lists to see which you would prefer more.cloudff7tm

I really am considering the 3DS but.. with the region lockout, I can't. I live in Mid East (PAL region) but right now I'm in the Philippines for college and 3DSs here are imported from the US. So it's all complicated when I decided to buy a 3DS.

Unfortunately I've posted on the wrong forum. I've been thinking of buying a used DSi or a PSP for a little gaming. I'm still in college so I won't be playing that much. Still, I want something for me to pass some time on. I have found a used DSi for $105. Is it worth it? Or maybe a PSP? Or maybe neither of these two? Need help. Thanks.

doesnt sound like a very good deal. in us figures: $250 for the ps3 + 3 games @ $30 each + controller @ $50 = $390. not to mention that you can probably get those games cheaper than $30. starwarsjunky
I think you're talking about the 160 GB model but anyway, I think you guys are right. I think I'll wait for a better deal. Thanks.

Hey guys. I live in Saudi (Jeddah) and I saw this PS3 bundle at a store. PS3 Slim 320 GB model + 3 games (Motorstorm Apocalypse, Tekken 6, FIFA 11) + extra controller. Priced at approximately 480 dollars (1799 saudi riyals). Is this a good deal? Or should I wait for the recent price drop? I know the recent $50 price cut on the PS3 so maybe they'll lower the price here as well. BTW, the game consoles here in Saudi are from europe I think (PAL region). So the price may be different from the US.
