Just stay away from online games, those are much more addicting that just plane games, trust me, when it comes to playing single player games, I pretty much have to get myself to play it, but online its like boom... I dont get it, but I did a six page paper on this thing. Anyways being a social recluse aint that bad, no bad pressure, you make better decisions in life, and you can be yourself without feeling judged at all. I aint a social reluse, but I don't see my friends all the time, just every once in a while. But, now I just got a job, and my friend is workign there in the same place, so so much for that:P.

I should of mentioned that I dont care about RPG games, since they all seem to be the same exact thing, just with different graphics. I will check out those games that people have listed. Same goes for Megaman games, you can't even aim at angles after how many megaman games? Seriously at least the Castlevania games on the Sega Genesis/Snes implemented this system. How is Contra 3 a unique game? Anyways most of the list for the 2nd poster, are RPG games, that is probably why the SNES sold more, because there is a big group of people who love rpg games, and the sega Genesis just had Phantasy Stars, which is all a console needs.

Demon Crest looks like what Ghost and Goblins shoudl of been all along.

On the Super Nintendo versus Genesis thread (not fair, most people on the legacy forums are mostly Nintendo fans), even likes Luigis Mansion for whatever reason, but anyways... One thing with the Sega Genesis, I find it easy to find games that I would easily like, but it seems like I can never find an equivilent on the Super Nintendo, it just feels like there is no hidden gems, but I wonder if it is because I tend to look over the games. But, I mean we all know the Super Nintendo does not have games like The Haunting, Mutant League football, or Toe Jam and Earl8).

Ocarina of time, Majoras mask = suck, for one I hated the music, second the characters were plane stupid, and tingle. Also I really dont want to have to play the same thing over and over again. I wish I would of just bought Ocarina of time, but my younger cousin said that he would give it to me when I see him again (that was months ago). I sold Majoras Mask, good riddance.

Genesis had more to offer than just first party games, sure there was Rare, but that was about it. When I go to the classic game store, I could look around the Genesis area, and find lots of games that I can tell are good, but I never played. Super Nintendo, it aint the same, all the games I liked, I already played, and there really was not anything beyond what I played when I was little, besides F-Zero, which is AWESOME!

One word, Musha, if you dont know what that is, then no wonder you think the Snes was all better, I think the Genesis is just slightly better. It is more action, and that is what I like more, fast-paced action. Super Nintendo was more slow.

Sure Genesis could not compete wtih Super Metroid, but the Super Nintendo could not compete with Gunstar Heroes. If your only reason for liking the Super Nintendo console more because of Nintendo games, then your kind of shallow when it comes to gaming. You need to look at 3rd party stuff too. There are Genesis games that are in the same genre, that are way better, I guess in some ways its the other way around.

Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, greatest platforming series of all time. Zelda: A Link To The Past, greatest adventure game of all time. Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, FF6, Super Mario RPG, some of the greatest RPGs of all time. Super Metroid, greatest... whatever genre that is, of all time. The SNES is king.death919

Sega has Sonic to compete with Mario and Donkey combined, I have all of the Genesis sonic games, I have all the Mario platformer games, and Donkey Kong Country one. I think Sonic is bett though, because the speedy gameplay gives it an edge, but dang once you put Donkey Kong in the mix, its equal. Notice how in Donkey Kong when you go on the edge, they do one of those anxious animations, just like Sonic, which shows how influential sonic was.

I bought Zelda for the Snes, I think you really have to be a fan to like it, it seemed kind of meh to me, but I love the gameboy one.

I am also not a rpg fan so chrono trigger really does not sell to me. But Phantasy Star is as I heard Final Fantasy on Steriods!

Super Metroid is good, you got me there, that is undeniably something that is far out of the Genesis reach.

There is a lot of Sega games that make up for the really big games on the Snes. But, you should look at the EA games on the Sega Genesis, those were some really creative games. Most of what people like on the Snes is Nintendo, not really the other games, while for the Genesis it was both. So you were not confined to Nintendo/Rare the whole time. I do not think Super Nintendo people ever played the Sega Genesis games, like the third party ones, which having good third party is harder to notice. No one is going to know about Robocop Versus the Terminator, but people will know about Super Mario World.

Only because the Sega Genesis had more going on, way more. Super Nintendo games were more slow paced. this comparision is like the Sega Genesis to the original, except it is the Super Nintendo to the Sega Genesis. Of course the Super Nintendo had better hardware, it came out later. But, the Sega Genesis was still able to compete with it, and I think most of the reason why people go Super Nintendo above Sega Genesis, is because they are ignorant of the Genesis games. There was some real gems that went fairly ignored.

I dont think the sound on the Super Nintendo was always better, I just got Castlevania for Sega Genesis, I think the music far exceeds the Super Nintendo music. Even the graphics. Sega Genesis had a good deal of exclusives that blew the majority of the Super Nintendo games away.
