Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? I updates my drivers (twice) and got a new copy of dx 9.0c. I can't figure out what the problem could be. Thanks for any help.

[QUOTE="horrowhip"]Original Half-Life. It defined the FPS genre as it is today, and thats why I picked it.desktopdefender

It was a hard choice for me.....it was this or Halo:CE

I played Half Life 1 about 2 years after release and it still wowed me

Yeah I love half life 1/2 (but honestly like 2 better, desregarding graphics) mainly because of theHUGE mod database.

Halo:CE

It will always have a special place in my heart:P

desktopdefender

Enjoy your slower, harder to control, graphically inferior version of unreal tournament 2004=D

Yes......

you do Realise it came out in 2001? you cant really compare them

Plus i just like the style of it more than UT004,

God Some Hermits can be so up them selfs......AND I AM HALF A HERMIT!!

Heh I was mainly kidding. Saying halo copied off of UT is a huge stereotype. Just pointing that out.

[QUOTE="Sephiroth228"]

Because all the good games on the ps3 arent out yet. There are some good ones out though. Think about it. For the first 8 months the 360's game library sucked it hard. But then it got better over time. The same will happen with the ps3.

As for the games cross-platform being better on the 360, that's because they're ports. Ports over to different hardware is rarely as good. The ps3's architecture is completely different than the 360 in that the ps3 relies more on the processor than the vid card, and the 360 is the other way around. To port a game across platforms can sometimes (well.. most of the time) be bad.

Give it time. The ps3 will be good once the games come out. At least the developers on the ps3 are taking their time on their games. That's a good sign.

dbzfreak
Just stop, people's memory seems to be foggy in that respect and the PS3 should've came out with the developers fully capable of programming properly for a new architecture right out of the gate.

lol gotta love sarcasm...For those of you 360 fanboys who couldnt tell...dbzfreak's post was making fun of you.

[QUOTE="Sephiroth228"][QUOTE="fileman3"]yep your right the ps3 sucks why pay 600 dollars for a system that dosent even have the best graphicsOGTiago
Because graphics don't make a game. Graphics whore...

PS3 is about graphics, but it's struggling to surpass the 360.

The Ps3 isn't about graphics. It's about bringing all kinds of useful features right to your tv screen. That's what Sony says, that's what sony wants, and that's what we want.

besides, if you wanna say somthing like that, say the ps3 is about processor power, that's more accurate.

man stfu when people pay 600 dollars for a game system they should expect the best system

The ps3 IS more powerful (processor wise). The games that are utulizing its power just arent out yet.

How long did it take for gears Of War to come out on the 360? Over a year. It took them THAT long to make a game with amazing graphics. Now, the ps3 hasn't even been out for a year and you're making comparisons? Wow...
