He almost won the WCW championship against Ric Flair on a Nitro in 1999 (he gave him a top rope frankensteiner), but Double A DQ'ed the match, before Mysterio could get the 1-2-3.

sephy37

that was a damn good match. rey and flair put on a good show. also the ending of the match was great. (flair falling into the pool :D)

Agreed, that was great match and one the better WCW matches of that year.

that's probably the best nitro match i had ever seen besides bret vs. benoit (owen tribute match)

Yea, that Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit Owen Hart Tribute match on Nitro was awesome match, two of the best technical wrestlers ever IMHO and they were both in one ring, it was like a dream match.

Shame to, because at the current time Rey Mysterio was the WCW Cruiserweight Champion and he would have been the first wrestler ever to been both the Cruiseweight Champion and World Heavyweight Champion at the same time.

I think Rey Mysterio when eventually win the World Heavyweight Championship and/or WWE Championship out of respect for being in the business for years and for his huge fan support.

Look out Y2J and Eddie, they were both former Crusierweight Champions in WCW, but both went on to win the WWE/F Championship and Y2J won the World Heavyweight Championship twice on top of that. But yeah, Rey Mysterio has been in the Crusierweight Divison much longer than Y2J or Eddie, so he might have a tougher time trying to get a push. But such as I said, I think he will eventually win the World Heavyweight Championship and/or WWE Championship out of respect for being in the business for years and for his huge fan support.

There is my two cents on the subject!

[QUOTE="Shadow-Link-221"][QUOTE="The_Dude14"]Hart Foundation RVD and Sabu RVD and Rey Mysterio (They were a great team, even though both were too good for the Tag Division and were being wasted there) Hardy Boyz Demolition RVD and Kane RVD and Booker T Edge and Christian Team Angle / WGTT The Briscoe Brothers (Ring of Honor)

Note: My all time favorite tag team was the Rockers, however, they never "officially" won the WWF Tag Team Titles, and were not eligible. Just worthy of note, IMO.

The_Dude14

Didn't they win other wrestling Tag-Team championships (such as AWA and/or NWA)? But never officially won the WWF/E Tag Team championships, that is massed up too.

That is BS, because they won the TT championship on a house show, but I guess Vince thought he made a mistake by having them winning the TT championship and stroke it from the record books and that is why they are probably the greatest Tag Team to never be the WWF/E Tag Team champions (officially anyways).

I don't know whether they won championships prior to WWF/E, I can only assume they had, because they were too good not to, but I hadn't seen them at that time and can't say for certain. As far as WWF/E Titles are concerned, I know the story of that, and thats the reason I put "Officially" in quotes. Part of WWE's mantra is what happens at House Shows stays at House Shows, unless we deem otherwise. Heck, if WWE actually counted House Shows for anything, Hassan's undefeated claim would have even less merit, as he loses at practically every House Show.

I am pretty sure they have!

Because when The Rockers had their reunion on Raw, before Wrestlemania XXI, JR was talking about they were former AWA and/or NWA Tag-Team champions (or some kind of former Tag-Team champions). Which is good to know, because The Rockers were too good not to win any Tag-Team gold.

To me, TNN, Spike TV, or whatever they call themselves in the future will always be the company that killed ECW. I can't wait for WWE to get off that network and back home to USA... and the Dog Show.The_Dude14

Yea, the Dog Show. I always thought it was lame how a Dog Show could be on Monday Night, instead of Raw. I guess, more people like watching the Dog Show. I know it had to be embracing for JR when he had to announce that Raw would be on Saturday Night, instead of Monday Night because of a Dog Show, a freakin' Dog Show!

[QUOTE="Chicago_Nut"]Ye like Micheal Cole said that no one had ever manhandled the Big Show like Matt Morgan did. Is he stupid or did he forget that Brock Lesnar F-5'ed Big Show alot better than Matt Morgan did. And Brock did more than just F-5 him he did suplexes, belly to belly throws, suplex off the top rope, etc.Biggestgeekever

Michael Cloe is a total idiot, he tries to make everyone look much better. LIke that one time when Lesner kicked out of the Angle Slam, he tells, "Oh my god! That has never been done before". I guess he forgot about The Rock, Kane, HHH, Chris Benoit, Undertaker, Stone Cold, and others.:|

He just is in character, all announcers do that to try and hype up a match and/or wrestler. I have seen Jim Ross, The King and Tazz all do similar announcing, it is just for dramtic effect and to give a wrestler and/or match more meaning.

Both screens shoots look about the same to me, in terms of graphics, I do not see what everyone else is talking about. But then again, I am way more interested in DOR 2, than SmackDown vs. Raw 2006.

so your stil up 2? it's just after midnight here, and wow that it's pretty funny...or sad....i guess both...Shadows_Fury

It is only 9:23 pm here in CA, so it is still pretty early for me, but I will probably stay up until 2 pm.

Anyways, I though it would 5:23 in the morning in London, I thought there was 8 hours time difference between here in CA and London, but I could be wrong about that.
