@Prime_28 I see your point, but according to the link posted elsewhere in this thread Sony's loss is closer to $5 billion not 6. It's still a lot to lose, though.

Investing in the big 3 can be a gamble. You can't expect any of them to always be profitable year in, year out...not even Nintendo.

@LightRukia No. You can't possibly know what was going through her mind when she wrote her comment and neither can I.

And don't bite my head off about the white knight thing, Joan of Arc; it's GameSpot and the internet after all you can't always tell. But I dare you to tell a radical feminist GIRLS can't be white knights.

I didn't say anything for you to disagree with I just asked a question.

"And what's wrong with a person defending someone anyway and why is it considered defending? " Because defending someone is defending, by you know, definition.

@LightRukia How do you know what she was saying? And why are you trying to be a white knight about this, don't you believe she can answer for herself?

@BloodyAura "All girls need positive messages to remind them to never give up on their dreams." Are you saying all boys don't or that they already receive them?

@hiphops_savior @Shadowdanc3r Let's start with my original point. Your statement about Nintendo sequels usually being more fresh and original than most new IPs was an embellishment to say the least.

Now, on to FF. The character of Cid is always a different character in a different world, the only thing that's the same is the name. The recurring weapons aren't necessary to clear a particular dungeon. The chocobos are more useful than the chickens found in Zelda. :p Airships send the imagination soaring. And are you telling me Link isn't an androgynous male protagonist? :p

What's basically the same about FF that bothers me is the whole save the world from total destruction thing. It's old to me and I've lost interest in the series.

I don't think we're likely to see Nintendo take Zelda in a different direction, but we can look to see if the fans will continue to do so. So far I've seen them make a 3D FPS and a 2D platformer.

@NoirOps I flagged it as offensive and it's still up. Great moderators we have here.

@RPG_Fan_I_Am @Shadowdanc3r @hiphops_savior Sharp point...except in other RPG's you're not limited as too how much money you can carry. The items are also much more varied. Also in other RPG's there's a lot more weapon variety and even armor.

I don't like how in the Zelda series I jump through fun hoops only to be rewarded with the same few variety of fishes. After playing a handful of games in the series I'm not going to go near the series unless there are a lot changes that appeal to me.
