funny you should mention this game since I'm actually going to be getting it in a few days. My only problem with it is from what everyone tells me that has it is the campaign is really fun and well made, but at the same time rather short. Which, ok that's fine, people said the same for WAW and I had a pretty good time playing it since it had a steady level of challenge as you progressed. From what I can tell a ton of people still play online so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm surprised you say it's old though, it's only been out for two years, but whatever. Hopefully the story is better than the one for B:BC2. Don't get me wrong, the sp part was very entertaining, but the story and characters were really annoying. By the way, what are your thoughts on Black Ops? It seems like a really love/hate type of game.

Well all you're saying is that no game should have mp unless it's a mp only game. Uncharted 2 had a pretty good mp for what it was and still had a pretty great sp. MP doesn't ruin a game. You can argue that Homefront's majorly short sp was ruined by mp, but they hyped the sp so much with its story that it seems like their intentions were to make a short sp campaign with a sequel in mind. Nobody really talks about its mp. COD has become a mp game basically, which is cool because it's its thing for this gen. What I think ruins games is dlc since a lot of developers are giving us the bare bones now and then come out with dlc to get more money. I buy fps games for sp and mp depending on the title so I pretty much know what I'm going to get. Sometimes a fps is just an average game and can have the mp blamed for it, like MOH. So yeah, I have nothing against mp, and am probably going to finally try out MW2 soley for the mp with the sp as an addition. I don't really get your hatred towards mp, especially if it's done right (though dead space 2, why did that get it?).
