The d-pad and buttons are definitely improved so that you can notice the difference, but the difference isn't greatly significant.

It's better is what you need to know.

And if you're not afraid of opening up your PSP, there's an amazing d-pad mod you can use that'll render any advantages the Slim has button-wise null.

I've handled and own both the original and the Slim, and the Slim definitely feels cheaper and more flimsy. I can actually bend the Slim slightly, and it makes creaking noises if you put a little pressure on it. I don't know if it's actually so cheap and flimsy, but structurally, it isn't as solid as the original for obvious reasons. The screen also seems to scratch more easily. I've dropped the original on concrete a couple times from a height of about 5ft and aside from a few minor cosmetic damages, it works perfectly, and it's a launch day PSP to boot.

Just take good care of it and you should be fine.

Not really. Most of the differences are superficial.

No, it's the Chinese knockoff version of the Wii.

You're never too old for Pokemon.

The structure of the game is "same old, same old," sure. But it's still addicting, and competitive battling is pretty intense.

Try the d-pad mod.

Let me tell you, it works great. The difference is phenomenal. I can actually play Tekken DR now.

Amazon is your best friend.

Great place to get hard to find games (especially new), free shipping on orders $25+, and best of all, no sales tax! XD

the reason i want to sell it is because ds has so many cool looking ff games for it and a lot of fire emblem type games it also has a lot of those games with trading and breeding monsters the psp really has none of these i will say once i put it on ebay maybe if any of you are looking for one or know someone who is check it outklimkowski
Eh, I'm not sure most of those FF games are worth the money IMO. I'd personally keep the PSP and hold on to the best/favorite games and sell the rest, and save up money for the DS. I notice that my gaming goes in cycles. I'll play the PSP for pretty much a month straight then don't touch it for a while. Same with the DS. But if you can afford only one, make sure you choose the one you're gonna keep after some solid research and thinking.
