[QUOTE="ChinoJamesKeene"]In japan they develop for more teenage and manga reading aged poeple, in the west they assume their market is really young and develop more kid games. Like Ponyfriends.... who the hell is going to get that?nightmoves369agreed, There are some really fun Japanese games you can import from play-asia.com or any other import site, some games you don't need to know japanese to play: Super Robot Taisen W, Ouendan 1 & 2,), and Jump Ultimate Stars. This is just ignorance. Games like Super Robot Taisen W aren't aimed at kids? Jump Ultimate Stars isn't aimed at kids?
Key word here, aimed. Let's take Jump Ultimate Stars, great, fun game, but target age isn't something that many would consider "mature." Believe it or not, series like Bleach isn't "mature," the target age for titles in Weekly Jump is 9-14. It has no bearings on who can enjoy it, not at all, but it seems here that the line between "teenaged" and "preteens" is a little confused and blurred.
Before people go off on titles being "kiddy" or not, I think we'd better define "kiddy" first.
dammn those r kool colors and yea i wish they would make a green liek a lime green or somethingrace_suaceOMG Lucky Star! >_>

The mechanics of the PSP as a music player has already been answered, so I'll talk about my experiecnes with it.
As I use my PSP as a multimedia device, having videos, music and games all at once is very handy, and I use it in lieu of my iPod now. It has decent enough sound quality, and a little better bass than the iPods. As for the volume, on earphones, it's a tad low.
But that can depend on the earphones you're using. From the ones I've used with the PSP, my original iPod earphones from the 2nd gen mini is significantly lower in volume production than the new black-spongey-thing-less iPod earphones by about a factor of 50%. But the "cheapo" $10 gummi earphones my sister got at Best Buy trumps even the new iPod earphones by at least 25%, so I guess it depends.
It's a solid enough music player, especially if you don't want to carry too much.
[QUOTE="SharinganEye"][QUOTE="Big_Evil666"]Swapped my old faceplate for this one.Cool, how'd you do that?
Big_Evil666
Ok, how did you get the faceplate, that's what I should've asked
I got it off DecalGirl. It's the Camy Dual Injection Skull Gold faceplate, and by dual injection they mean it has the black plastic underneath a clear plastic like the official Sony one, giving it the glass over obsidian look.Only $20 and it comes with replacement buttons (kinda crappy, I used my old ones) and a very nice magnetic tip screwdriver. It took all of maybe 10 minutes to swap it out for my old, worn, scratched up faceplate.
As for its quality, I'm very happy with it. It seems a little thicker (say a quarter to a half of a millimeter) than the Sony one, but it fits well and I've had no real trouble with it thus far (though your L trigger may be a little sticky and the analog a little "clicky," but the analog might be my problem as I think I screwed it on too tight). But beware that the faceplate--even in plastic retail package--probably will not be scratch free. I was bummed about that, but you can barely notice them, so what the hell.
For $20, it was a great investment. And I kept the sleek black look of the PSP.
Download the videodownloader 2.0 FireFox Extension or use an equal alternative, get the flash video you want, and convert using PSP Video 9.
Simple as that.
EDIT: Just noticed the date. Why the hell was this thread bumped back from hell? It's friggin' 4 months old. Lock please.
