Dev kits and retail kits are the same thing on the Xbox One. None of our dev kits came in retail boxes.
Let me just throw this into the mix; understand that (to my knowledge), every downloadable game must support play-as-you-download, Killzone being one of them. With Killzone, you can even do one better and start downloading either the SP or the MP, and begin playing portions of that component as it is downloading.
Yes, large downloads are an issue that has been bound to come up, but Sony has been actively exploring ways to circumvent this growing problem. There was an interview with Stephen Totilo and Jack Tretton where he properly identifies that having long download times in an age of instant-entertainment was a problem they knew they needed to tackle in order to make the value of a digital download of a game match the physical copy, and that this play-while-download option has been something they needed to invest in. They even implemented an early version of it with The Last of Us - you could begin playing the game once the download had reached 50%.
[QUOTE="Shensolidus"]wtf Are you talking about kid? The x1's launch games look great.GDDR5 is uncomfortable to work with? Coming from the man who isn't actively working with it..?
ESRAM is a huge pain in the ass, everyone in the industry is bemoaning it. But w/e, i'll just let the launch games speak for themselves.

Man, TC... you actually do know your stuff on this. Please tell me you aren't another dev. You shouldn't be throwing this stuff out here, they will not care. Believe me.
