@hector530 Not unless you can find a way to get a $700+ gaming rig for $300 or less. Because console gaming isn't going anywhere if you can't. Not in times when millions of people are struggling just to keep their lights from being turned off or their houses from being forclosed on.
Which is why this console generation has lasted so long in the first place. Very few people have the extra money to throw around on a new machine every 2 years. This isn't the 90's anymore.
I really want to get into Spartan Ops but the way it's matchmaking is won't let me. I think having to wait on certain days before you can play the chapter you need is kinda dumb. Just put all the chapters in MM at once like they did with Firefight and campaign in Reach.
I love Halo 4 but come on now. All that Spartan Ops match making silliness needs to be fixed.
As much as I love XBL this article is correct. The online play of the next system should be similar to Steam. Free to play online. They should make all of their money off of DLC and online game sales and optional premium plans. Online game sales will increase if Microsoft makes every Xbox game available for purchase online at the same time as it is in stores. As it is right now the games available online don't come out until a year or more after orginal release.
