Its a good game with one major flaw. Its short. That in and of itself isnt bad, its just that Dice decided the best way to extend the game's length would be through frustrating trial and error. There are some "cheap" kills that you simply wont avoid the first time through. Often its not very clear where you need to be going or how exactly to get there.

The game is at its most fun when you are out in the open freely running, jumping and climing your way across the city. Chasing people or getting chased is a fun twist to that and the combat isnt half bad. However the game sadly puts you in light puzzle solving situations or requires you to search to find your path through some areas. This breaks the flow of the game a lot for me.

Its not a bad game, I just wish they had stuck with speed run type of gameplay as a whole. I found that aspect to be way more fun then the rest of the game.

I refuse to pay for things that I believe should already have been included in the game. Capcom loves to do this so much. SF4 and RE5 are prime examples of how to royally screw up some DLC. (Though I give them credit on championship mode being free)

Look at Valve's Left 4 Dead. L4D shipped missing 2 of the 4 availible campaignsfor versus mode. There was still plenty of gameplay to be had. I felt like I got more then my moneys worth out of that game before they updated it. Sure enough though, Valve completes the versus mode AND adds a new Survival mode. (Plus a new smallmap exclusive to survival mode) They did this all for free to make Left 4 Dead atruly complete package. It makes getting nickled and dimed for something like alternate costumes all the more annoying.

Quit while the opportunity presents itself IMO. I quit myself almost exactly one month after Wrath of the Lich King was released (after 4+ years of playing it.) The game is a shell of its former self.. its just not even close to being the same game anymore. Its just too easy and overly rewarding for an MMO. Once I found myself playing out of habit and boredom instead of being genuinly entertained I had to quit. Nostalgia be damned, if the game were as good as it used to be id still be playing it...but its not. Plain and simple.

Left 4 Dead was a big one for me. I was so out of the loop on that one, I didnt know about it until about a week before its release. I got the demo, fell in love immediatly and baught the game right away on release. Been responsible for many many lost hours ever since.

Ive actually got Civ: Revolution on the way now too. Im excited to try it, anybody who's actually played it seems to rave.

If this was 2 years ago or so I would say yea, but I think it's too late now. If you want to try an MMO then you should probably wait for something else. WoW's best days are behind it.

I agree with this for sure. Its just not the same game anymore. Its still a good game, but its a shell of what made it great imo. Still, if you're new to MMO's its a very friendly to beginners and its hands down the easiest MMO to play and make progress in. Just keep in mind at the end of the day its still designed to keep you busy and playing for long periods of time. There is still plenty for a truly new player to experience and enjoy so its easy to recommend. For me though it just became habit to play instead of something I enjoyed. I have no regrets for the time I spent hooked on it. Im just glad I got out when I did.
