I did play LTtP prior and loved it, granted I didn't beat it. I'm not saying that Zelda is better than either of them (although if you asked my straight opinion I'd tell you that both of the games with 4 in them were really boring, and that games like Oblivion and TF2 garner more attention from me than they did) but Zelda did more for the gaming industry at the time than GTA4 and MGS4 ever did.

You would have to be a child to seriously consider Brawl to be better than say Fallout 3 or even Gears 2 and Metal Gear Solid, all of which move the gaming towards being a true form of art.PapaJohn24

I think the TC is trying very hard to console himself, and the Wii fans that the Wii is doing better than it really is. I see a problem with the arguments presented for the following reasons:

1. There is no doubt that ps3 is not doing as well as the 360. And the TC purposely chose ps3 over 360 to narrow down the disparity.

2. The sales numbers for the hardcore games on Wii are far less in percentage compared to the ps3. Isn't the Wii outselling the ps3 by 2 or3 times? Let's say the Wii sold 40 million units, and the ps3 sold 15 million units. Then 3 million buyers of one particular game for the ps3 is 20% of the base. If the Wii sold say....4 million of their flagship game (in which the TC is arguing that the numbers exceed that of the ps3), it only works out to 10% of the base. This already means that RELATIVELY, the Wii is doing worse in hardcore games. You must take a relative comparison, not an absolute one.

3. You are comparing mostly launch titles. The Wii was in a much better predicament during launch than it is now. Just look at this holiday season, the 360 had Gears 2 and Fable 2. The ps3 had LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2. BOTH the ps3 and 360 had Dead Space and Fallout 3. All these games were AAA and came out during this holiday season alone. What did the Wii get? Wii didn't so much as even share a slice of the AAA cake this holiday season.

4. From the looks of it, the best selling games the TC presented were TP and RE4, which were both rehashes. I look at it as capitalizing on previous successes of 3rd party games. The games were last gen for goodness sake, but with remote controls now. The same can't be said for Mario Galaxy and SSBB. The two games were good, BUT they were first party, which is the source of Nintendo's current problem. They rely mostly on first party games. 3rd party games are either shovelware or half-baked.
