Hi, I googled this issue but it was kinda hard to find a clear step by step process. I want to do a clean install of windows 7 on my laptop. I know it's a time consuming process but I think it's pretty easy. I have two problems. I need to go buy an external harddrive to back all my files up and two I don't have the installation disc for windows. My laptop never came with one so I never had one so my question is. How would I attain an installion disc and come someone either explain or provide a link that has a clear, readable process of doing a clean install on windows.

If you're wondering why, Tera runs like absolute crap on my comp and it should be able to handle it. I've had other issues in the beginning with games like ME, Witcher 2 and others so I'm just tired of tweaking everything to get things to run okay so I'm hoping a clean install will fix the majority of issues. Thanks for any help.

I don't have any experience with headsets but also decided to grab some also. I did some research but I know at 130 I think the pc360 are out of your budget. I know amazon has some on sell for $219 here in the US so yu may want to check the uk amazon. But from what I'm heading the Razer Carcharias are suppose to be good. They cost $69 here in the US, the Astro A40 2011 edition is also suppose to be good. It has the same drivers as the old model but the earpads it uses changes the sound and allows the sound to be "warm and colorful" plus has better bass than the pc 350/360. The thing is with these headphones, they are almost in the same league it is all just preferable to what you like. If you want that 7.1 sound you're gonna need a mixamp which is what makes a lot of these headphones great. Here are some links I found for reviews if you want to look them over.

The razer carcharias

Astro A40

Sennheiser PC 360

Hope these help you out. Good luck with your choice.

I posted this question on notebookreviews for some help with audio but the G73JH thread is pretty dead so I'm posting it here if anyone can help. If you're not familiar with the G73JH here's a link (don't know how to actually make the link without just c&p the address)

http://usa.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerhouse/G73Jh/#specifications

Hola, been a bit since I posted but I have a question about my audio and I need some help for a clearer answer then what I'm reading.

I decided I wanted to invest in some headphones for gaming purposes, after some research I decided to get the A40/Mixamp bundle from Astro.

http://www.astrogaming.com/wireless-systems-1/a40-wireless-systems/a40-wireless-system-480

Okay so from what I know so far, The G73JH doesn't support 7.1 sound through the headphone jack but you can get 7.1 sound through the HDMI output, I believe. I would need to get a TOSlink/hdmi coverter cable. Is that a viable solution meaning that will this work? Or would I need to get the Asus Xonar U1 device connected to the laptop, then connect the mixamp to the Xonar, then connect my headphones to the mixamp. Here's the link to the Xonar device and in case you don't know what it is.

I want to take advantage of the 7.1 sound the mixamp can provide so with my model, G73JH-A2, will I be able to receive 7.1 audio? If anyone has any good solutions that will be a great help. Thanks.

Also forgot to add a pretty unbelieveable over the top crap he did in MGS 4. Slamming his sword threw his foot to hold MG Ray from killing Snake, also one of the coolest **** i've seen in gaming.

Hola.

Idk, i'm pretty interested in this game. MGS1 got me into gaming and because of that first experience with Snake I was able to obtain a pretty expensive hobby for 13 years. When I saw the trailer for this I was a little confused because of expectation but watching the trailer over and over. I'm pumped for this game. I've been reading the comments for this game and I see a lot of hate which is understandable. I loved Vanquish and Bayonetta but I also have a diverse taste in gaming compared, from what I'm reading, to a lot of the MGS fans out there.

My question is does anyone feel like Raiden becoming a Hack N' Slash character doesn't make any sense? When I started to think about it it makes a lot of sense to me. In MGS4 I don't recall him sneaking, I recall him breaking dancing with multiple Gecko's. Not sneaking around them. I also saw him hold a sword in his mouth with no arms and take on a platoon of ninja's, not throwing chaff grenades and rolling behind cover. When Raiden became a cyborg ninja he obviously lost that stealth mentality so the more and more I see the trailer to this game, it is consistent with the image of Raiden from MGS4 that Kojima created.

On a side note, him doing a suplex to a Metal Gear Ray was pretty over the top, yet I can't wait to press "square" over and over and recreate that.

Ah yeah forgot to add some websites for you to check out gaming laptops.

Look at Xoticpc.com

www.gentechpc.com

www.powernotebooks.com

You can customize laptops to your preferences to the price you're willing to spend. Plus since these are resellers you can ask them to test your laptop before they ship it to you. They test for any laptops and fix it, if they can't they will just send you another model. Takes three days but its the best choice then getting your laptop only to have it not work and then having to send it back. Again, I would just do your research once you narrow down your choices. Also that notebookreview.com site has a forum dedicated to people who are looking for laptops, I would check those threads out too cause I'm sure they will give you some notebooks you haven't heard of at reasonable prices. Good luck with your search and hopefully you find what you want.

Those seem like nice laptops. I would check notebookreview.com marketplace. It's actually just users like people on this website selling their laptops. You can get a pretty top of the line laptop at a reasonable price. I would just do your research on what laptop you want. If you're going to be gaming you want a great gpu. High RAM isn't really too important but you want 4 gigs which will handle gaming. The cpu, I went for an core i7 but you're going to have to do your research on that also cause there are some nice alternatives to the core i7. If you push up your price to 1100 or 1200 you can get a great laptop off that place.

Yeah kep cap durability was also an issue. From the site a poster recommanded to read on the first page was definitely a help. If that is a deal breaker for you for that particular keyboard there some others that are really good for that price. I believe Deck is the only company that uses double shot dye that is never suppose to wear. I'm getting mixed readings on that information though. Some sites say they use double shot while I found others saying its dye sublimation which is also suppose to be very good for wear. I would check out that site and read up since you're going to be spending that much money on a keyboard. And google some reviews on each keyboard you find interesting.

Nice. The Xarmor also hasthe PS/2 port with too. So I can decide to switch between USB and PS/2 when I get a computer that has a PS/2 port I could plug it in. I believe with the Deck Legend I would have to buy another resistor with it. So you guys like your Deck and recommand that purchase over the Xarmor?

Cool man thank you. Yeah I just want to make sure I'm getting the most bang for my buck cause spending at least 140 for a keyboard I want to make sure it is a good investment. Took me a couple weeks of research just to narrow my choices down to these two. Since I'm also a college student I type quite a bit so I wanted that good balance between gaming and typing.
