DRAGON VALOR - 57/100 metacritic score, "tbd" user average because nobody bothered with it.

If there is any chance you're going to choose "Dragon Valor" over "Vagrant Story" based on the above "review" I highly recommend you check some youtube vids, and other reviews first, and decide for yourself.

I'll say this, if I ever owned an Xbox 1 today, I'll probably only get at most about 5 games. With the GC, about 20. There are 6 games on the GC that I can say trump the Xbox's best: Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, Windwaker, RE4, SSBM and Eternal Darkness. Only games on the Xbox that comes close to those 6 are Halo CE, which I already mentioned has issues, KOTOR which was great but a little overrated, PGR2 and NGB. Even if the PC didn't exist, I'd still pick the GC over the Xbox.

I can go on and on. What exactly are you trying to do? Some of the games I listed are better on the PC. Some are exclusive. But at the end of the day I would pick the GC's best over the Xbox's best anytime.

Besides from what I read your thread is pointless. You might as well change the topic title to "Xbox>GC."

But I'll add to my answer a while back.

Xbox won because:

• Halo
• Xbox live
• overall better versions of multiplats then the GC
• DVD support

GC was destined to fail because:

• the N64 killed all 3rd party support that Nintendo had from the SNES
• mini discs
• menory cards that did not have a lot of blocks
• no online
• bad image of being a purple lunchbox
• no GTA

Never said sale quanitiy was an indication of quality. You said, that people cared about few games, not even enough to make a top 20 list. the fact that the top list is 45 strong, and a small fraction of game sales, says that people paid attention to far more than a handfull. There are ALWAYS that top 5, or top 10 that stand out above the rest, but there is also always a top 25, and top 50 that stand out above the hundreds, if not thousands available to choose from.

Shock Wave, I had just turned 7 when I got my SNES, the revision model in 97, I didn't know what video games were before hand, in years that have past since I have become a big gamer, I loved it then, but it wasn't like it is now, it was new, we bought a lot of games, more than 30 in the course of 2 1/2 - 3 years. Give me your list, of what you think were the only games that the general public sought after/bought. and I'll tell you what games I, at the time who was the general public, ended up with.
